U Chiang Mai

I already love the U Hotels brand, and this was my first stay at U Inchantree Kanchanaburi. All the staff provided excellent service. If I have the chance, I will definitely come back to stay again! 😊

The hotel is near the walking street. The staff provided excellent service, and the breakfast was great. There's no on-site parking, but the lobby staff took care of parking our car and retrieving it for us.

The hotel is right in the city center. It's a small place with no parking available. However, the staff mentioned that if you have a car, you can inform them. It's probably best for those with a car to call the hotel directly beforehand. The breakfast room isn't big and doesn't offer as much variety as other U hotels, but you can order from the menu, probably due to the limited space. The only downside was the number of mosquitoes in the breakfast room; otherwise, everything was great.

1. Great location, all main attractions in the old town are within walking distance. 2. The breakfast ingredients are good; hot dishes need to be ordered, while cold ones are self-service. The coffee machine was a bit tricky to use, but I highly recommend the freshly squeezed pineapple and cucumber juice – it was absolutely delicious! 3. They have a hotel cat, a black one, and it's quite aloof. 4. Free bicycles are available, which I only discovered on my last day. 5. Didn't get a chance to try the swimming pool. 6. I requested a very late check-out, and they approved it! 7. There's a massage parlor to the left when you exit, offering a two-hour Thai massage for 700 [currency]. I went twice.

The hotel's location is superb, right in the middle of the main road at Tha Phae Gate in the Old City. It's very convenient for taxis, which can pull up directly to the hotel entrance, except for Sunday evenings during the night market. If you're visiting attractions within the Old City, you can easily walk there, enjoying the sights and local food along the way – it's incredibly pleasant. For excursions further afield like ziplining, cars can pick you up directly from the hotel, so there's no need to go to a meeting point. There's a snack bar next to the hotel that stays open late and serves good food, worth checking out. A 7-Eleven is a five-minute walk away, opposite Wat Chedi Luang. They have freshly baked bread, though I found the taste to be just okay; the freshly baked triple ham and cheese sandwich, however, is truly divine. The hotel breakfast isn't overly extravagant, but it's sufficient. There's a self-service cold buffet, and hot dishes can be ordered from a menu. The hotel attracts a lot of European and American guests, and the facilities seem to cater more to their preferences. The room size is average. You get two complimentary bottles of mineral water daily, plus two free soft drinks.

The staff were really friendly and the pool towels were well-stocked. The complimentary breakfast tasted great and you could keep ordering more.
