Best Chateau ever

Splendid Chateau, great rooms, climate controlled suite we had. Fantastique staff, great breakfast with high quality food and drinks. Pool and Gym are top. Walks in the garden or vineyard completed the stay. A must visit!

Spacious and well decorated room and furniture, beautiful pool and patio. Staff friendly and helpful. Most comfortable bed and pillows.

Online photos are misleading and staff needs to be trained in customer service. We were double charged for our room and when we told the reception staff member we had already paid on ******* she began berating us in a raised voice in French and forced us to pay a second time. Horrible way to start the stay and zero apology. Also note this property backs onto a highway which was not clear to us when we booked. Rooms are outdated and need a good clean. Smelled very musty inside the whole property. Despite this Chateau having its own wine, we were not offered any information on the wine. It was a very odd and disappointing experience.

Had a great stay. Lovely staff beautiful next to vineyard only negative was close proximity to road so when out by pool can hear road.

If you are looking for a quiet countryside experience in the Bordeaux region with some of the most caring and adorable hosts possible look no further. The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast is always fresh and a great way to start a day of wine exploration in the region, and the overall atmosphere is very clean, peaceful and relaxing. The crew that manages the guests are genuinely helpful and will go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They patiently answered a thousand questions, even made dinner for us after their kitchen was closed when we came home hungry. The crew made our stay extra special. Notice i said come home. Thats how you feel at Chateau Meyre. At home!! Note: the Chateau is a bit remote and you need a rental car preferably or the chateau can find you a taxi but be prepared to pay for it since the distance to Bordeaux city and varied food options is a bit far. Highly recommend for an adorable French countryside experience.

Good location, not excellent This four star hotel we feel is more an overpriced B&B. Although the staff is very friendly, they are re- rather than pro-active. For example, the 20€ breakfast includes very little, unless you specifically ask for what you want, then you get it. We were not asked if we wanted something not present. The feeling we get is that orders from the Thai owners are to limit cost, rather than to enhance visitor satisfaction. Positive is that location is great, very close to many prominent Bordeaux vineyards.
