JI Hotel (Beijing Nanluoguxiang Andingmen Subway Station)

We stayed for 4 nights in total. Overall the experience was just okay, but there are a few minor issues we hope the hotel can improve: 1. There was no comb provided in the room. I called the front desk around 21:30, but no one answered. I wrongly assumed that hotels in the north stop providing guest services at night, so I didn't try calling again. 2. The bed linens had an obvious tear in a very noticeable spot. I understand the hotel is busy and dealing with high room turnover, but while linens can be old, they should never be torn as it really ruins the impression. 3. Half of the showerhead wasn't working. This wasn't caught on the first day when we extended our stay, and it wasn't fixed until we brought it up again on the second day.

Had a fantastic stay at Ji Hotel in Beijing. The service was exceptional, and every staff member was so friendly and helpful. I just forgot to take some photos.

The hotel boasts a prime location near Andingmen Subway Station, making it extremely convenient to visit Nanluoguxiang and the Guozijian. The rooms are clean and quiet with comfortable bedding, and the service is attentive and thoughtful. Tucked away in a quiet corner of the hutongs, it offers a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city, making it an ideal base for a trip to Beijing.

I booked a king room here for around 600 RMB. I strongly advise against staying here—it was just a disaster. The hairdryer provided was one of those old-school models that actually sparked and made crackling noises while I was using it. It felt extremely dangerous. As for the power outlets in the room—the ones by both sides of the bed and the ones on the wall—I tried several and couldn't get anything plugged into them, not even with a lot of force. I called the front desk, and they sent a staff member over who managed to force a plug in. But when I tried to use them again the next day, they were still just as jammed and terribly difficult to use. The blackout curtains let in light; it looked just like what's shown in the photo below. JI Hotel is supposed to be one of Huazhu's mid-to-high-end brands, but for this price point, the facilities are truly subpar.

The room was spacious and bright, exactly as shown in the photos, and the service was attentive and thorough!

The hotel has a great location. It's just a 30-50 meter walk out of the hutong to the main street. Cross the main street and the road, and you'll be at Guozijian Street. Walking another 300 meters or so leads to the Confucius Temple and Guozijian, where you can spot many stylish girls taking street photos. Walking to the end of Guozijian Street brings you to Yonghegong Street, with the entrance to the Lama Temple right in sight. It's also not too far from Nanluoguxiang—about 2-3 bus stops away, or you can easily walk there. There are plenty of buses on the main street, making getting around very convenient. The subway station is a bit far, but still within walking distance. There are supermarkets and plenty of dining options nearby as well. The hotel lobby is on the basement level (-1). The staff are very friendly and quick to respond to all requests. We booked a twin room, which was very spacious—even with our luggage fully opened out, there was still plenty of room to walk around. There was an ample supply of hot water, and the bedding was comfortable. The breakfast was quite hearty, though the items didn't change much day-to-day (about 90% of the dishes stayed the same), but the quality was quite good.

Excellent location, right near Shichahai, Gulou, and Yonghe Temple. As always, the service at Ji Hotel was outstanding.

The location is super convenient. Right across from the hotel's alley entrance is the Guozijian (Imperial Academy). It's also very easy to get around by just scanning a shared bike. Our family doesn't usually sleep very well, but the room was so quiet with excellent soundproofing, and the privacy was also great!

The location is excellent, right between Gulou (Drum Tower) and Yonghegong (Lama Temple). In the morning, you can walk through the hutongs to Shichahai. There are plenty of food options nearby, and getting a taxi is convenient. Beijing in early autumn is very pleasant.
