Sitka Hotel and Restaurant

The staff was polite and as helpful as possible. 1 issue was the lights not working properly so having to change rooms. Then the tv not working. When we asked for assistance they said they knew about it and it had been a problem for a while.... there was no notice, discount, or other solution for this.

I have stayed at the Sitka Hotel before. Rooms are great. My only wish for the single I stayed in was a chair would be nice. Other than the bed there was no place to sit. Other than that I love the hotel. Nice folks with a decent deal.

Great location, convenient to airport and everything walkable downtown. We loved the historic feel to the place. Will definitely stay here again.

The front desk was super slow and I agree with a previous review that said the staff”bumbled around”. The bathroom had a new tub and was pretty clean. We learned that daily cleaning of the room was not an option and if you wanted fresh towels and additional coffee pods(that tasted like mud puddle water) you had to ask at the front desk and wait for them. Also There was very little light in the room- only one light next to the queen size bed. The bed had a weird attachment at the end with drawers in it that stuck out in the foot space. The unit had a small refrigerator and a cook top and micro wave. The TV did not work.

Good location in town. The room was clean but needed a chair and table. Nice restaurant attached to the hotel with a full bar and good food. Tasty coffee in the lobby and good breakfast 2 doors away at the Mean Queen restaurant and bar.

First trip to Sitka, and I'm so glad we stayed at Sitka Hotel! Staff was so helpful, and the room was clean. The tv or electric burners weren't working. There were only three outlets, so I recommend bringing a power *****. I loved how it was located in downtown, so walking to most things was very convenient. When we were tired, it was easy to rest and then head out again. I really liked staying at the Sitka Hotel and definitely would again.

The hotel's old, amenities are old. The rooms are a little old. The TV never worked the whole time I was here for the week. They said it's because of a storm but somebody at the front desk told me it's never worked since they've been here I went down to get change to do laundry and they said that the washer and dryers don't work, but you can use their other property which I don't know which one it is. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel pretty much everything is $50 and above I'll post the menu. Shower was great. Let's hot water. Had a microwave coffee maker, and little refrigerator in my room. You are basically in town. Lots of eating options outside of the hotel, but the town does close down at about 6 o'clock

It was a little funky but in a good way. The staff was great and the location was really handy for walking into town.

Close to town. Four Star costs, two star experience. TV remotes didn't work, needed to unplug tv to turn it off. Bedside lamp on/off switch broken, needed to unplug. Mini kitchen nice to have.....but only one glass and one mug. Some pots and pans, but no cooking utensils. No plates. Staff overall incompetent and surly. Any other lodging in Sitka would have to be better.
