The dinner menu was too short though I was able to find what I liked: the salmon - but you were out of salmon on one of the 2 days we were at Red Mountain.  Waiters were excellen for  both dimmers.  For the price, the room was a bit small but you are also close to the, state park, A good stay but not truly exceptional. Furniture was chipped in numerous places.  We had trouble finding our room.

WARNING!!.. BUYER BEWARE!! Don’t book this resort .. False advertising!.. Resort closed nov 2025 but website makes 0 mention they are closed but ‘please book a room here anyways’ .. I wish I was an attorney as this lawsuit would be a slam dunk .. once booked and CC accepted they send you a sweet innocent email saying golly gosh so sorry but most of our common areas ie pool etc are closed and you can use the facilities at the adjacent Black Rock Resort.. which btw is a drop dead stunning resort.. of which we originally planned to stay at but they were not pet friendly.. bottom line this Red Mountain Resort needs to close immediately and someone needs to report this to the authorities!!

DO NOT MAKE A RESERVATION HERE!!! Gave it 1 star because 0 stars is not available. This place is a deserted, abandoned property that still allows you to make a reservation online. Unbelievable to drive here and find it all closed! A sister property down the road, Black Desert Resort, is part of the same company and will credit your paid reservation to a room there, albeit at a higher price. Black Desert Resort is a new development and luxurious to say the least. They were able to cancel and refund our reservation at the bogus Red Mountain Resort. If you're a golfer, traveler or resort aficionado, and don't mind the $350+/night price, the Black Desert Resort is definitely worth a visit. Red Mountain Resort, to their dim credit, did send a reservation confirmation email, informing me, in small print, that the front desk, and all other amenities were closed. And this sent AFTER they had accepted and charged my credit card. I carelessly did not read it all, but stopped at the "Reservation Confirmed" line. My bad. The geographic location of these properties is beautiful. But the Red Mountain Resort is shameful black eye on the city of St George, who should force them to totally shut down their bogus website.

This entire experience has been terrible. First, this is a closed hotel and they don’t tell you 3 days before your stay that none of the amenities are open. Second, we came from the black desert resort, and our keys for our room didn’t work. My aunt and mother went back to get them fixed. The lady at the counter was rude and condescending, and guess what? The key still didn’t work! Fourth, you can get ahold of someone at the call center but you can’t reach anyone at the hotel. My aunt stayed on hold for 20 minutes. This was overall a terrible experience. The staff are rude and unhelpful. Why are there so many people standing around but so many unable to help?!

What a find! Was thinking we’d have to go to Sedona to find a resort like this, grateful we stumbled upon it on a visit to Snow Canyon State Park. Beautiful views, comfy beds, pools, hot tubs and cozy fires for S’mores. We were already planning our return when we learned they’ll be closing soon for a complete remodel. We’ll just have to wait.

We stayed three days and had a great time! We hiked, e-biked, kayaked, and enjoyed some great food both at the resort and in St. George. Our hiking guides Greg and Lynn were fun and informative. They gave us some great restaurant recommendations. Great low key hike. Our E-bike guide, Taunia, was exceptional! A lovely young woman with a great knowledge base of the area and an adorable personality. She made done great insights on hikes in area. Overall great resort!

5 stars for >Guest room amenities, all the staff members at front desk, spa reception, and Canyon Breeze restaurant >Outstanding fitness rooms and instructors. MELT with Kim W. (reduce muscular soreness+) and the Puebloan pottery class led by Joyce were standouts. >Excellent spa treatments were done by highly skilled and caring providers (shout out to Michella, Cody, Nancy and Trevor). 4.5 stars to Sagestone Spa and Canyon Breeze restaurant. >The spa had great relaxing lounge+views. Shower+steam rooms clean with ample supplies of products >The restaurant had great service and delicious food (don't skip the desserts!) along with ample gluten free selections. No daily specials on weekend as we'd been told. 3 stars to administration and the computerized systems as were lacking; poor & mis-communications while onsite, advance booking difficulties, and multiple emails, duplicate receipts and changed and multiple booking numbers for unknown reasons. Indoor pool was closed without advanced notice. Front desk staffing only started at 9:00am. Spa at 10am. 2 stars to >Canyon Counter cafe as had a very limited lunch selection with some menu items unavailable. Given its limited nature this impeded onsite lunch availability. >Outfitters hours did not extend past 5pm and selection of larger women's clothes was lacking Concerns include >Conservation - electricity for A/C in rooms auto set at 68 for arrivals, water conservation awareness and education not seen, recycling (can the Resort team with Ivin's?) >adding spa amenities between treatments like IR or dry sauna, stretching room with mats and pillows or props >the designated spa pool is for all resort guests and gets noisy

Had a great time at the Red Mountain Resort! 7 friends all celebrating birthdays stayed for 3 nights. We had an opportunity to upgrade to a Villa and that was amazing. The pools were great. The spa services were top notch and the endless classes were fantastic. The food was delicious. I have tried to recreate the Brussels sprouts dish at home.

I know it doesn't matter since this amazing place is closing its doors next month but I still wanted to write a review. I am so grateful for the opportunity to experience this special resort, meet wonderful people both staff & fellow guests and enjoy the breathtaking landscape of Southern Utah. Yes the resort is getting older but it has loads of charm that more than makes up for its age.
