Kyoto Great Hotel

Simple Japanese style, exquisite and quiet. Excellent location, right at the alley's end is the night market street behind Chiang Mai University, with plenty of 7-Elevens. It's along the Doi Suthep route, so you can walk to many mountain attractions and restaurants. Wanted to extend my stay but it's fully booked until the end of the month.

1. **Location:** Very convenient. It's close to Chiang Mai University, and the back gate night market of the university is right outside the alley. It's only a few minutes' scooter ride to the front gate night market, both great for browsing. It's also near Maya and One Nimman, about a 10-minute scooter ride away. There's a 24-hour self-service laundry shop right across from the hotel. Several 7-Eleven stores are on the street just outside the alley, which is super convenient, and there are many breakfast places and barber shops nearby. 2. **Room and Cleanliness:** The room looks exactly like the pictures, it's quite spacious and even has a small balcony. I recommend staying in a ground-floor room; you can step right out to the pool, which gives it a real vacation vibe. However, the one drawback is that, perhaps because of the small balcony, dead cockroaches occasionally appear in the room. 3. **Service Attitude:** The staff are all very friendly and always greet you when you enter. 4. **Price:** Considering all of the above, the value for money is absolutely outstanding. Getting this for under 200 RMB is an incredible deal. Overall, considering the location, environment, service, and price, I'm very satisfied. Booking a good hotel definitely improves your travel mood, so I highly recommend staying here.

Tucked away in an alley not far from Chiang Mai University, this Japanese-style hotel boasts good cleanliness. Stepping out, you'll find plenty of affordable eateries nearby, likely catering to students. The hotel provides large umbrellas, which came in handy during my rainy stay, making trips to 7-Eleven or for food much more convenient, keeping me dry.

If you're staying near Chiang Mai University, this location is excellent. It's just a two-minute walk from the university's back gate to the night market.

Thanks to this small, budget-friendly resort with a pool. The staff are quick to provide towels when you go for a swim, which is a great touch! 👍 Don't miss the Malatang (Sichuan hot pot skewers) right outside the entrance – unexpectedly authentic Chongqing flavor! 😂👍 Just a two-minute walk to the university's back gate night market, which was a daily source of happiness returning to the hotel. A big thank you to all the staff for preparing our honeymoon room with rose petals and swan towels – it was such a delightful surprise!

Booked this for my trip to Thailand, specifically because it's close to Chiang Mai University and there's a night market nearby. Getting around was pretty convenient. The service was excellent and very welcoming. It's a small hotel, with only 30 rooms, but everyone was quite respectful of the quiet atmosphere. The hotel's style is also quite Japanese-inspired. Highly recommend it, especially for the great value for money!

This hotel has a great atmosphere, and my kids had a fantastic time. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby. We were very satisfied. The room was comfortable, clean, and hygienic. We loved it!
