Located in a quiet town. Onsen was great. Typical Japanese style room. Breakfast and dinner included were ok. Not accessible unless you drive. There is no elevator to the rooms on the upper floors. We had to lug our luggages to the rooms Overall it was comfortable and had a pleasant experience. Kudos to the reception person - spoke good English, and returned my mobile phone to me that I left on the reception counter.

The hot springs are great, and although the location is a bit out of the way, it's close to nature, which is nice. You have to drive or take the shuttle bus. I'd love to go back.

It was a blissful time unlike anything I'd ever experienced, as if my heart was melting into a warm, comforting feeling. Upon entering my room, I was first greeted with a persimmon confection. With its gentle sweetness and moist texture, it was so delicious that even those with weak teeth could enjoy it. It was such a thoughtful gesture that I couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow..." Then came the burdock tea (available for purchase in the lobby). The simple flavor of burdock was subtly complemented by the aroma of black pepper. It was so deeply satisfying, almost like a soup, that before I knew it, I'd had three cups. The subsequent hot spring bath was also exceptional. There were three open-air baths, each offering a wonderful sense of openness. With features like bear-repellent sounds and a safe design along the cliffside, the meticulous attention to detail made for a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The indoor baths were also excellent. Hot, lukewarm, a cold bath, and even a sauna were all available. I had a truly fulfilling and relaxing experience. The hot spring water, renowned as a "beauty spring," lived up to its reputation. The soft sulfate spring water enveloped my skin, leaving it moist and radiant after bathing. There's also an iron-rich spring, said to be effective for coldness and anemia. It truly is a hot spring that beautifies both mind and body. ――――――――――――――――――― And now for the touching story. The return bus was listed as departing at 8:45 on the website, but it had actually been changed to 8:30 as of November. (Please confirm.) I carelessly missed the explanation the night before, and was in a predicament when I realized I was going to miss my bus… But then, a staff member from the inn said, "You have a lot of luggage, I'll drive you," and drove me to Hiraizumi in their own car. They even thoughtfully checked on my need to use the coin lockers at the station, and kindly guided me to the tourist spots. It was truly a moment where I experienced genuine human warmth. ---------------------------------------------------------------- At the breakfast buffet, I thoroughly enjoyed local flavors, including Iwate's New Year's dishes and ginger soup. It warmed me to the core and was the perfect way to end my trip. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Overall Impression "Sannoyama Onsen Zuisenkyo" is a place where everything—the hot springs, the people, the scenery—is warm. This is the first time I've ever felt so fulfilled during a stay. With heartfelt gratitude—it's the best inn. If you want to create wonderful memories, I highly recommend this place. I will definitely visit again. Thank you very much.

The reality was a far cry from the picturesque scenery I'd seen when booking. I'd originally been drawn to this hotel because of its beautiful view, but it was surprisingly remote, requiring over ten minutes of driving along a dark mountain road. It was already 11 PM when we arrived. The hotel staff assigned us a room on the second floor, which had no elevator. We were told we'd be carrying two heavy suitcases and two travel bags up the stairs. After much effort, we finally made it to the room to admire the view, but instead of the mountain scenery I'd booked, we saw a single tree and the outer wall of a building separating us. No view at all. Oh my god... We'd gone through all that trouble to get to this remote place, for what? I was furious, but then I discovered my room didn't even have a bathroom. This hadn't been mentioned when I booked through TripAdvisor. I finally couldn't handle it anymore, so I carried all my luggage back to the lobby and requested a room change. I was eventually offered a room in the main building with an elevator, a bathroom, and a beautiful view. But I noticed I was the only person occupying my entire floor. There were clearly rooms available in these areas. Why torture guests? So angry 😡😡

It's neither good nor bad. The facilities are a little old. The bath was very good, but I wish they would switch the men's and women's baths every day.
