Whenever I visit Bangkok, I always stay at SO BANGKOK. The expansive green views of Lumpini Park make me feel like I'm at a resort, even though I'm in the middle of the city, allowing for a deeply relaxing stay. Especially during breakfast, enjoying a cup of coffee while leisurely gazing at Lumpini Park is incredibly healing in itself. Coming here often brings a great sense of comfort from its familiarity, and the thoughtful care from the staff who remember and welcome me each time always makes for a pleasant stay. Even though many new hotels are popping up in Bangkok these days, for someone like me who appreciates familiarity and knowing my preferences, this is the best hotel, and I have no desire to look for alternatives.

There wasn’t much of a warm welcome upon arrival, but the concierge team was very helpful and welcoming throughout my stay. The lobby was pleasant, although the room felt quite dated. The shower tiles were creaky, the shower head was noticeably old, and the sink had a water leak. There were also no night lights or ambient lighting, which made the room feel a little stark in the evening. On the plus side, the room was a great size and very spacious. Breakfast was decent, although the restaurant felt a little warm. Overall, the stay was alright, but there is definitely room for improvement, especially when it comes to the room’s upkeep and amenities.

The hotel's location is excellent; it's a 10-minute walk to Central Park, and the room offers a nice view of Lenny's Park across the street. The subway is right next door (less than 300 meters away).

While an older property, it definitely lived up to its reputation. The biggest draw of this hotel was its charm as a hotel embracing Lumpini Park. Being close to MRT Lumpini Station was also a huge plus.

Great view, great breakfast, kind staff and convenient location. The lobby is located at 9F and it’s a bit uncomfortable to transfer the elevators for the room and main door each time. Everything was good except the room has ants that I didn’t expect that in such hotel
