Mosaic Lagoon Lodge

Thank you for the most amazing stay at Mosaic Lodge. The rooms were absolutely beautiful, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was simply mouthwatering! The spa experience was an absolute treat and truly added to the relaxation and enjoyment of our stay. We had such a wonderful experience and would love to visit again in the future. Thank you for making our stay so special and memorable!

Mosaic offers a peaceful retreat in a beautiful natural setting. The property's strongest assets are its natural setting, guided experiences and activities, and staff hospitality. The focus is for guests to connect with the landscape and enjoy the area's environment. The staff were fantastic - warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, from the housekeeping team and kitchen staff to the chef to our wonderful guide Vitalis. His interpretation of the local flora and ecosystem really gave great story telling value to the experience. The food was delicious throughout our stay with generous portions and great quality.

Lose was nicely positioned but we had the family room as my son of 17 yrs was with us. It’s located close to staff quarters who walk next to the chalet and loud voices. For the price I believe it’s way over priced. Towels were like drying yourself on curtains. No shower for main room only a bath but no bath salts. Room had a damp smell and personally for the price it was definitely not worth it. Mattresses were like rock but apparently they looking into it. Breakfast was so slow it took nearly an hour for 5 people. Would I revisit for a double room and a family room for R12500 for one night. Definitely not. If I owned it I would take one room at a time and renovate it. It’s in need of desperate renovation. Do not pay these prices.

What a special place this is. Sadly, our last night of three. Staff were all without exception, absolutely wonderful. All very friendly and accommodating. The room was lovely, with beautiful soft and comfortable bedding and decorated in a rustic style with absolutely everything you need including fab gin, red wine and water and lovely toiletries. The location is sublime on the lagoon and so peaceful and tranquil. The stars were very beautiful. The food was wonderful; Thank you Chef Lackey. No menu as such. There was a freshly cooked stater, choice of a meat or veg main and a dessert. Lunch was also lovely. But if you didn’t like the option he was happy to cook you anything. I didn’t do breakfast but hubby was very happy with what he had. Only six rooms which makes it even more intimate. The activities were what made our stay even more special. Vitalis (sorry for spelling) provided us with many options including a nature drive where we were fortunate to spot 21 different species of birds, along with his knowledge of local plants. We also did the absolutely beautiful river cruise where snacks and refreshments were provided. Tomorrow before we leave we are going to do the beach trip. We also used the bikes to cycle to a local farm shop. There is also a nature walk which we didn’t have time for. I had the absolute best ever massage and facial by Candice at the Milkwood Spa. I can’t think of a time I have been more relaxed. She has fingers of an Angel. The key question to any review is would we stay here again? A resounding YES!! I had a lovely overnight stay at Mosaic Laggoon Lodge. The peaceful surroundings and attentive service coupled with the comfortable furnishings of the accomodation make this the perfect location for a break away to recharge your batteries and to reconnect with nature.

The location is magnificent! Perhaps the arrival could have been improved in that the previous guest ran late by half an hour, and there wasn't a comfortable waiting room. Sadly the coffee was sub-par and only rooibos or Ceylon tea was on offer - a wider variety would have been 5-Star. The value for money was great on the food, and in the higher echelon for a spa - well worth the spend though. The quality of treatment was acceptable, and the therapists were lovely. The premises were clean and the garden very well kept. A note to future guests - the Kol Kol fire works only with the lid off ;) In summary, knowing that the spa had only recently moved into its current premises, there are minor teething problems which I have no doubt will be ironed out within weeks.

10/10 Experience. Tranquillity, relaxation and peace are the words that come to mind! It was our second visit and we will gladly return for a third!

This was truly an experience we would love to repeat. Unfortunately, due to work commitments, we were only able to stay for one night — but that one night left such an impression that we are already looking forward to returning and reliving the experience. Mosaic Lagoon Lodge is a true wow-factor experience, where beautiful surroundings, warm hospitality and attention to detail come together to create something very special. From the moment we started driving towards the lodge, we knew we were in for something extraordinary. The beautiful landscape around Stanford is simply breathtaking, with its peaceful natural beauty appealing to both the eye and the senses. We were welcomed by friendly faces (thank you, Babs) and genuine, warm hospitality, which continued throughout our stay. The culinary experience was equally memorable — a delicious dinner enjoyed beside the large, cosy fireplace was the perfect way to spend the evening. And then there was our room… We felt completely spoilt. The beautifully appointed four-poster bedroom, with its own perfect fireplace, created such a warm, romantic and cosy atmosphere. The design and décor of the unit are truly unique, immersing you in an elegant African bush-inspired setting that makes you feel as though you have escaped into your own peaceful, private wilderness retreat. Every detail seemed to have been thoughtfully considered to create a feeling of comfort, luxury and being completely at one with nature. Although our stay was far too short, Mosaic Lagoon Lodge has definitely left us with wonderful memories — and a strong desire to return when we can stay longer and experience even more of what this very special place has to offer.
