James Place Inn Bed and Breakfast

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the James Place Bed and Breakfast. Bill and Mary are tremendous hosts, Bill met us at our late arrival and helped us get our bags to our room. He familiarized us with the Inn and morning routine. Breakfast was flavorful, ginger waffles, sausage and blueberry scones. We could even take the leftovers! We stayed in the Blue Room. Well maintained and clean. This might not seem like much of a compliment but this seems to be low priorities for some innkeepers. Recommend for anyone considering a stay in the Freeport area. Also, Freeport only 30 minutes from Portland and the drive can be made on a quiet road to avoid the hectic interstate if you want.

Bill and Mary-ann are both amazing people who made this experience absolutely wonderful. From the 5 star breakfast each morning to the perfectly clean rooms. I can't recommend the James Place Inn enough!

Innkeeps Bill and Maryann are so friendly! They make you feel as if you are family. The rooms are clean & so comfy. The breakfasts are delicious and plentiful. We can't go wait to go back.

We stayed in the Green room and it was perfect. The jacuzzi is amazing. The room is clean and they don't have any heavy fragrances like you find in some rentals. We will certainly stay again.

The service was awesome. The beds were so comfortable- it felt like being in my own bed at home. That is how comfy it was! The breakfast was AMAZING! We had yogurt, fresh fruit, fantastic chocolate chip scones, and the most delectable french toast! It was the best food I had while in New England. Bill was so nice and funny- he made me laugh -Shea (age 11)

We had a great experience. We were greeted upon arrival and all our needs were met. Our room was super clean and cozy! I would definitely recommend James Place Inn Bed and Breakfast.

James Place B&B was an excellent part of our Freeport adventure. The house is in excellent condition and exudes charm. The location is an easy walk to the LL Bean store and the other associated shopping areas, along with several restaurants. The James Place was an easy drive to many local points of interests as well in Rockland, Camden and Kennebunkport. The best feature of all, however, are the hosts, Mary Ann and Bill. They are nice people, helpful and truly concerned about making the best of our time there. And the breakfasts were very thoughtfully put together for a delicious start to our days.

This was such an amazing bed and breakfast. The host was so very accommodating our last minute spur of the moment trip. My husband and I rented the room with the Jacuzzi in it for a little romantic getaway, to soak and relax. It was perfect. Breakfast the next morning was phenomenal. A full spread of blueberry pancakes, fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, muffins, coffee, and juice. Absolutely perfect for a getaway and so very much exactly what we needed to refresh and refuel ourselves.
