Maya Ubud Resort & Spa

Arrived a little after 3 PM, but the room wasn't ready yet. Had to wait until closer to 3:30 PM to check in. Went into the room to wash my hands, and when I pulled out a hand towel from under the sink, it was actually wet... Overall, the hotel is still very good, especially the River Cafe area – it's absolutely beautiful.

This hotel truly captures the essence of Ubud. It's a large property, clean yet wonderfully natural, like a small village nestled in lush greenery. The hotel offers a variety of activities, both complimentary and paid. I regret missing the hotel's trekking experience and the cooking class. In the evenings, the hotel restaurant features various live performances, sometimes fire dances, sometimes pop music. It's an outdoor setting, so you can enjoy the breeze, watch the show, and savor delicious food – a truly comfortable experience. The teppanyaki at the restaurant is especially unique; the chefs entertain you with various tricks while cooking, making you feel truly pampered. It was my birthday on the day of check-out, but I didn't mention it. To my surprise, the hotel secretly left a cake in my room while I was at breakfast. What a wonderful surprise! Just one minor suggestion: the room had a slight musty smell.

Absolutely loved it! The views are breathtaking, and it's super photogenic! The service was also excellent. Exactly what I wanted for my vacation!

The hotel is beautiful and offers a wide range of activities. There's a complimentary shuttle to Ubud town every hour on the hour. In the mornings, they have yoga, various trekking options, and kids' activities. I joined both the rice paddy trek and the forest trek, and they were quite enjoyable. However, the kids' activities weren't very well organized; on the first day, I eagerly went to participate in rice planting, only to find out it was canceled. Dinner was much more to my Chinese palate than restaurants in town, and it came with a show. Plus, they have a kids' menu, which was fantastic – absolutely no spice. The show starts at 8:15 PM, but dinner reservations are essential as seating is limited.

Although it wasn't a villa, I stayed in a hotel room near the lobby. Nevertheless, the facilities were clean, the staff's hospitality was excellent, and the environment was quiet and cozy, making for a truly wonderful stay. More than anything, the time spent at the pool, restaurant, and bar was incredibly comfortable and pleasant. This is the kind of hotel that makes you want to spend more time there than sightseeing. Next time, I think I'll try staying in a villa.

Top resort, a true oasis where you can completely unwind. There are always evening shows, most lasting an hour. Food is very good. Breakfast was delicious, and complimentary coffee and cake were served in between. I had dinner every evening.
