Travelodge Dunfermline

Reading some of the negative reviews on here makes me wonder whether I was staying at a different place or maybe it was all a dream. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this Travelodge. The staff were all helpful and kind and the room spotlessly clean. Complaints about noise? What noise? There’s hardly any road noise after 10pm and certainly nothing that affects sleep. Maybe those who complain should either adjust the volume on their Hearing Aids else book a 5 Star Hotel nearby at 5 times the price. Only reason I have marked this as 4 Stars is for sure it needs a restaurant with breakfast at least. It would be great to have a Full Scottish Breakfast set up ( and I’m English). Lovely staff. Great location next to Halbeath Park n Ride for Edinburgh and quiet clean rooms.

Hotel is in a decent location at the edge of town but does have a bit of traffic noise. My room was dirty with blood on the bed base and it had a strong smell of smoke, bed and pillows were of poor quality. Not worth the £125 for room only.

Stayed at this hotel while visiting friends. The room was clean and comfortable enough. However, the staff where what really set the standard. Travelodge should give them a pay rise. Friendly, helpful and considerate.

Most horrible stay ever. The property is located at the the remotest corner with a very poor connectivity. The facilities for a family are few and there is no kitchen to get even warm water or milk for the child. Room was smelly and walls were so thin that any movement in adjacent room or upstairs are audible. Even sound of vehicles moving on the highway keep you away all night long. Any family with children MUST stay away from this particular property.

Stayed this week as part of a large group booking. Annie on reception was very attentive with all our daily needs. She went above and beyond for all of us even though we were such a large group. The young boy checking us in was also great but didn’t catch his name. All housekeepers were friendly and one even showed us how to get to a local shop. The hotel is slightly remote but not that far from anywhere that would cause you an issue. Park and ride is a nightmare to walk to due to main road but there is paths. Our room was basic and in need of a upgrade as it’s still the old travelodge style I’ve personally not seen that kind of travelodge in a long time but all of our rooms were spotless and we had no issues during our stay. Will 100% use this travlodge again when traveling to Scotland Thanks again

A lot of banging and screaming from other guests, Filthy towels and bedding, hair in the sink plug hole and when toilet flushes it’s like a foghorn going off. If there was another hotel available I could have got it cheaper and with breakfast. Absolutely disgusted

Well clean and extremely helpful receptionist definitely recommend if you are going for a short stay , close enough from the airport and straight into the motorway , it’s quite handy for people that need a break before heading back to the road.

Friendly helpful staff Hotel clean but very worn No restaurant or bar facilities at Travelodge which is situated at the back of an industrial estate 15 to 20 minute walk to nearest restaurants and bars crossing back and forward over busy dual carriageway Was not ideal as we have mobility issues. Phoned New City Taxis who have cards at reception Owner told me his driver will not pick us up as it is not a far enough distance. I explained we have walking issues and would be prepared to pay above the rate as we have to get out for something to eat He agreed to send a car for us if we would pay ten pounds each way We agreed as we had to find some where to ear and the closest was the harvester. The cars can go a road that does not have pavements so total run time was 90 seconds each way at a cost of twenty pounds I feel strongly that the taxi owner took liberties with us as elderly couple with walking difficulties at a hotel with no facilities
