Hotel Shion

The hotel's location isn't super convenient, but it wasn't an issue for us since we were driving. Dinner was a semi-buffet, and we paid extra for a children's meal. The presentation was exquisite, and the food tasted great. The lobby had a free coffee machine, drinks dispenser, and popsicles available until 9 PM. Coincidentally, there was a group performance that evening, so after dinner, we grabbed a free coffee and enjoyed the show comfortably from the sofa. Breakfast in the morning was a buffet with a decent variety of options. Overall, it was a comfortable stay.

The hotel's scenery was absolutely stunning! We visited in April, and opening the window revealed beautiful lake views and snow-capped mountains. The hot springs were also fantastic. It happened to be a festival in April, so there were folk song and dance performances in the evenings. There's a shuttle bus service between Morioka Station and the hotel, but you need to book it in advance. If you can't get on the shuttle, there are also public buses that go to the hotel.

Didn't expect so many surprises here! The price is great and the hot spring is fantastic. There's even a performance at night! 👍👍

For this price, there's absolutely nothing to complain about! 👍🏼👍🏼 The room was spotless and the view was incredible, looking right out at Mount Iwate 🥰. The food was also fantastic and very filling 🤣🤣. Overall, it was really great value for money! 🥳
