Red Roof Inn & Suites Lake Charles

Looks like the property was recently renovated. Choose the Red Roof Inn for the best experience at the right price.

The room was clean but when I checked in there was a bad smell. I thought maybe because the air wasn’t on. The next day the water in the toilet was brown and the smell was still there. I spoke to the front desk person and she explained because the city was doing construction on the roads they were having issues with the water. She was very nice and said she would still have someone check my room for the smell. The front desk ladies were very friendly. The hotel is definitely due a refresh but I would stay there again.

Breakfast was sparse with no fruit. All of the faucets were rusted. Bed was hard, but clean The front desk personnel was top notch, friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was a little weak……the only warm item they had was do it yourself waffles. The room was clean and comfortable.

There were empty trash cans in the hallway when I checked in around 4pm. The next morning they were still there. The breakfast consisted of lukewarm coffee, waffles, bread, two kinds of cold cereal and orange drink. The person that checked me in had no idea where I might get something to eat other than the mexican food place across the street. She also had no idea where the major roads were in the area. As she talked, I wondered how she found her way to work. The only good thing about this place was where it was located. It was close to where I needed to be the next morning.

Milk was sour, not good, which is fine, room door was broke, wouldn't lock. Had to get fixed, found 2 baby cockroachs in the room. Had to have the keys fixed multiple times for no acess to our room. Staff was very friendly but the overall stay was not the greatest lol.

The room was clean and staff was friendly. The room we were in was non-smoking but the bathroom smelled of smoke. Breakfast was okay. The area was okay but there were truck stops near by which made me little uncomfortable. Overall price I paid was about right for the night stay.

Check in was smooth. The room was very clean. The temp in the room was weird. The AC was working but the bed was so close to the vent that it really wasn’t able to cool the other half of the room. The breakfast bar was great! A very nice variety was offered.

Rm# 203 When I pulled the bed spread back the bed sheet was stain. At the base of the toilt it had some type of brown substance that looked like poop.
