Modern room with air-conditioning and spotlessly clean. Good breakfast but dinner in the restaurant was truly awful. We chose the half board menu and wished we hadn't bothered. The food was poor quality, uninspiring and lukewarm when it arrived at the table. The service was rushed as if they couldn't wait to give you the bill.

What a horrible little hotel! The tiniest of rooms with little or no amenities, and towels that have seen better days. The beds are uncomfortable, as are the bedclothes. The entire building is in dire need of a major cash injection to repair the faults and bring it into the 21st century. I cannot comment on the quality of food on the premises because my wife and I ate elsewhere. We didn't feel like throwing any more money at this joint than what we'd already overpaid for the shoebox of a room.

In March 2025 I led a group of 20 former work colleagues to visit WW1 sites in Verdun. We stayed for two nights at Hotel Les Orchidees. The rooms were comfortable and clean, although my room did not have a plug in the bathroom sink - not the end of the world. The staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Although selecting an identical menu for the whole group for evening dinner was a bit of a pain, I fully understand the challenges that a group of 20, all at once, can cause to a restaurant. The food was excellent and although the restaurant was open at lunch time, my group only wanted a light lunch which was no problem for the staff. I would use this hotel again.
