Akan Yuku No Sato Tsuruga

The breakfast and dinner buffets were absolutely fantastic! If you stay for two nights, they arrange for you to experience both the Wings building and the main building's restaurants, one on each day. The Wings building offers direct lake views, and its restaurant feels newer. You can take a lovely stroll along Lake Akan right behind the hotel, and if you're lucky, you might even spot a little fox! The ground-floor open-air garden onsen is very close to Lake Akan and offers an amazing experience. However, the 8th-floor onsen, though advertised as a 'sky garden,' has very high, dirty protective glass. You can't see anything from inside the pool, which is a far cry from what they show in their advertisements.

The hotel lobby features many unique wood carvings, which is quite special. The staff are warm and welcoming. The room size is just right, and the bedding is comfortable. There are three hot springs, all of which are excellent and very relaxing. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet style with a rich and varied selection. Highly recommended.

I booked a Lila Series room. The room wasn't huge, but it was very unique. Both the sofa and the bathroom had panoramic window views. There was also a exclusive foot bath, which is only for Lila room guests.

The Japanese-style room was spacious and bright, comfortably accommodating four people. It offered a lovely view of Lake Akan. Nearby shops provided local specialty gifts. The hotel featured a Japanese onsen (hot spring) and a wide variety of East and West dining options, with the Japanese cuisine being particularly exquisite.
