I am writing this as a friendly warning for anyone considering Kep Bungalow. The receptionist, an older man, was extremely rude from the moment we arrived, and the hotel itself is nothing like the photos online. The water did not work, the place was very dirty, and honestly a rat den would be cleaner. The pool was dark green like a swamp, and if you swim in it you will probably melt or grow a second head. The bed and furniture were old and made loud noises, the mattress and pillows looked and smelled so dirty that you will want to run away, and even the kettle was growing mold inside. This place should not even be on any booking site and even if it were free I would not stay here again.

Well, what can I say, the bungalows are very old. What's shown in the photos doesn't match reality. Everything in the room was dilapidated: broken lamps, light fixtures, a broken TV remote, a broken AC remote, and scribbled-on walls. When we checked in, even the bedsheet was dirty. It's clear that the staff don't really bother maintaining the hotel's condition. However, you can rent a motorbike or a tuk-tuk right here. There's a pool, and the hotel itself is located in a picturesque spot, next to a mountain, so the air is very fresh and the area is very quiet. Despite everything, we slept excellently. It's 500 meters to the crab market. Basically, for those who have been to Cambodia before, this kind of room condition won't be surprising. But if you're looking for something luxurious, it's better not to stay here.

Good location and nice pool. The rooms looks not maintained though and there’s  molds on the ceiling. Fridge is rusty and tv’s not working.

We were nicely welcomed and checked in very easily. The bungalow was quite roomy, a little hot but we had a mobile fan that was just enough. We were right in front of the swimming pool which was accessible even at night so we had one last dip to refresh before going to bed. The vegetation between the bungalows made for a nice and relaxing atmosphere.
