Baba House Melaka

Fantastic location, exactly in the city centre, walking distance to joker Street and those tourist landmarks. Nearby a lot of very good nyonya restaurants and shop lots. Hotel interior very unique, exactly baba nyonya style. Room slightly small but good for 2 paxs. Amenities good. Breakfast good with a few types of nyonya kuih.. Oh ya, this hotel served welcome drink as well. Everyone who check in will get an ancient coin to exchange a glass of drinks (either tea or coffee or juice) Overall good, will priority consider this hotel again if visit to melacca.

Stayed overnight. Service was good. Got free cendol following their social media accounts in Instagram and Facebook. Car parking is limited. Room has very small window. Might be claustrophobic to some. Sound proofing was not very good. You can hear people walking in the hallway and even the preparation in the restaurant area (We stayed in room 122 and it was the first room you see right after the door in the ground floor). Mobile data is hard to access inside the rooms as well. They do provide wifi but inside the room was quite slow. Water pressure is quite not strong as I preferred but tolerable. Breakfast has limited choices but all were good. Especially the kuihs. We got welcome drinks and snack when we checked in. Location was really goodand is easy to drive to. Jonker Walk was indeed walkable. Over-all the stay overnight was okay. But I recommend to book rooms with windows 😅

I had a wonderful stay at Baba House Melaka! The hotel beautifully blends Peranakan heritage with modern comfort, creating a unique and charming atmosphere from the moment you step in. The interior design is stunning, with plenty of beautiful details that make the stay feel authentic and memorable. The room was clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with comfortable bedding that made for a great night's sleep. The location is excellent—just a short walk to Jonker Street and many of Melaka's famous attractions, making it very convenient to explore the city on foot. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their warm hospitality made us feel right at home throughout our stay. Overall, Baba House Melaka offers great value for money with its heritage charm, excellent service, and strategic location. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Melaka and will happily stay here again on my next trip!

I recently stayed at The Baba House Melaka and had an enjoyable experience overall. The property is clean, well-maintained, and beautifully preserved despite being a heritage building. It offers a unique Peranakan atmosphere while still providing a comfortable stay. The staff provided excellent service throughout our visit. Requests that were communicated in advance were accommodated, and they took the initiative to arrange the multiple rooms we booked close to one another, which was greatly appreciated and made our stay more convenient. There are a couple of areas where improvements could be made. The hotel does not offer self-service laundry facilities, which may be inconvenient for guests on longer stays. In addition, the rooms are not particularly soundproof, and noises from outside the room can sometimes be heard. Overall, the charm of the heritage property, cleanliness, good maintenance, and attentive staff outweighed these minor drawbacks. I would recommend it to travellers looking for a heritage stay in Melaka with friendly and accommodating service.
