Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai

The bedding at Bulgari is definitely the most pleasant surprise; I've been dreaming about it since my last stay. The nightly 'goodnight tea' delivered in a thermos is also a major highlight – such a thoughtful touch. And breakfast? The set menu is absolutely delightful, especially when you're enjoying it with that incredible, unbeatable river view. I just loved it.

A very satisfying stay. Check-in was swift, especially thanks to Cecilia who was incredibly patient and helpful with all our questions. The room service was excellent; they kept the room tidy and were attentive to our needs. The soundproofing was also great. The breakfast was plentiful, offering both Shanghainese specialties and Western options. Dining in the room with a view of the Oriental Pearl Tower made the trip truly worthwhile.

The environment is comfortable, and our butler Jack was excellent, even custom-making a luggage tag for us.

I'd heard about the personalized luggage tags at the Bulgari Hotel Shanghai for a while, so on my first stay, I specifically asked about them. The front desk service was incredibly attentive. I especially want to thank 🙏 Karl for his help; he made our entire stay feel very personal. After learning it was my girlfriend's and my anniversary, he even helped arrange an anniversary setup. How could such thoughtful, human-centered service not make guests feel right at home? Service: Absolutely outstanding service, a true industry leader. Much better than some other hotels in the same category.

This Christmas, I chose to staycation at the Bulgari Hotel Shanghai for two nights, opting for a room with a Bund view. The view was a bit angled, though; for a better perspective, one should probably choose a premium room. Since it was Christmas, the hotel had a wonderfully festive atmosphere. The staff were all very warm and professional. Cecilia from the concierge team was particularly enthusiastic and generous, responding to requests promptly. During our stay, we also received complimentary apples, chocolates, and panettone, which added to the Christmas spirit. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. During my stay, I only visited the bar on the 47th floor and Bao Li Xuan. Due to the high number of guests at the time, I couldn't book a very suitable time or table. As an in-house guest, not being able to just walk in was a bit inconvenient, but the ambiance, food, and drinks were excellent. I even had a shot with the bartender. Breakfast could be delivered to the room, but it was quite simple – better than nothing, I suppose. The gym was a bit small, and the equipment wasn't very comprehensive, which might not be ideal for guests who require strength training. However, the trainer proactively brought towels, water, bananas, and nuts, and even offered a weightlifting belt or assistance for training, which was a nice touch. The hotel doesn't have a dedicated smoking area. I ended up smoking a cigar on the terrace of Bao Li Xuan. It was cold without sunshine in winter, but a staff member thoughtfully brought an ashtray, which was appreciated. The minibar had a wide variety of small items, and the bed was very comfortable. All in all, it was a satisfying experience.

Came back to stay at Bulgari again! This time, our butler Joanna was incredibly attentive and friendly. Bulgari truly offers the most emotional value among luxury hotels. While it's true you get what you pay for, the overall experience was simply delightful.
