I stayed at Royal Island from June 2nd to 10th, and I loved everything about it. We arrived around 12-1 PM, got checked in right away, and were directed to lunch. My room was great; I could see palm trees from the shower. I want to give a special shoutout to the manager, Saida, for her attentiveness and for quickly resolving all my queries 🫂🩷. I stayed in Villa 213, which had a large lagoon on the sheltered side. I've never swam so much in my life! You can walk straight into the ocean without needing water shoes. The breakwaters don't spoil the view, and between them, there's access to the reef – you can either swim or walk over the rocks (wearing flip-flops). On the reef, I saw a turtle, millions of fish, large rays, and the most incredible thing was spotting two manta rays! 😍😍😍 The rooms were clean, and the housekeeping was excellent (a big thank you to our cleaning boy Rashid). Also, a huge thank you to all the chefs who worked so hard to prepare fresh dishes and salads – everything was delicious and varied, including tasty steaks and seafood. We had to leave the island early at 5 AM, but they provided us with breakfast, so it didn't really add to the general travel fatigue. I thoroughly enjoyed my vacation and wouldn't rule out coming back again. Thank you, Royal Island! 💙

The island itself is decent, but everything feels outdated. It looks like nothing has been renovated in over 25 years. The staff also seems trained in an old-school, rigid way — very robotic service. The world has moved on, but this resort clearly hasn’t.

Unforgettable experience! Beautiful island, fortunately not rebuilt for tourists but with the respect of their Maldivian  culture.  Incredible nature and all the people that work there are all very kind and welcoming. we were truly happy.Tthe only small flaw is that the activities and extras  are really expensive and in a hotel like this it is not proportionate. We could have done many excursions and booked every day massages etc but with such high prices we limited ourselves to two. the risk is to lose opportunities. so this is my only advice. Thanks anyway for this beautiful holiday! See you soon

This was our first trip to the Maldives, and it exceeded all expectations. A huge thank you to Saida for the warm welcome, her help with organizing a romantic dinner, and her prompt response to any questions. We also thank Saji and Murali for their attentive service and excellent service. Murali quickly remembered our preferences and always greeted us with a smile. The food was delicious and varied, with something for everyone. There are plenty of activities on the island: tennis, volleyball, billiards, and more. I'd especially like to mention the excellent massage and the stunning reef opposite our villa 207 – on the very first day, we saw a shark and a multitude of fish, and we enjoyed incredible sunsets every evening. The only downside was the mosquitoes, even though the area is regularly sanitized. Otherwise, the stay was wonderful. Thanks to the entire team for an unforgettable vacation! A few tips for future guests: Be sure to bring good sunscreen and a hat – the sun is very strong in the Maldives. For snorkeling and extended periods in the water, I recommend a one-piece swimsuit or burkini. Thanks to it, I barely got sunburned, only my ears, so a Panama hat or a hat would definitely be a good idea. I also recommend bringing mosquito repellent—despite regular treatments, they still pop up.

Another very pleasant and satisfying vacation! The hotel's natural environment is fantastic; the island's lush greenery is meticulously maintained, creating a delightful atmosphere. The beaches are clean, free of unsightly seaweed, and the snorkeling is superb—the pier and the beach near the Sunset Beach Villas are the best snorkeling spots! The service was excellent; even though our flight was in the evening, they allowed us a late check-out until 4 PM! The room facilities are a bit dated; those seeking luxury can overlook this. An island definitely worth visiting again!

It was a wonderful vacation! A paradise island with a relaxed pace. We stayed on the sunset side of the villas in room 208. The entrances are wonderful for swimming. You can snorkel both near the villas and from the pier. The staff is very friendly. The food is simply excellent. We took full board, which was more than enough! I definitely recommend it!

This is our third time in the Maldives; our first time at the Royal Island Resort was a great experience! Transfer to the island was by seaplane and speedboat (thanks to the hotel for not having to wait until lunch for a domestic flight). Return was by speedboat and domestic flight. The return transfer was complimentary, so we're especially grateful for that. We arrived at the hotel at 8 a.m. and were checked in immediately. We booked the Sunset Villa, and our villa was perfectly located – away from the pier (the ones closer to the pier aren't ideal for swimming and there's no reef) and close to a beautiful reef. We loved everything: - The food was delicious and varied. Every day for lunch and dinner there was seafood, fruit, incredibly delicious desserts, ice cream – everything was plentiful. The staff was friendly. Our waiter at the restaurant brought drinks by the time we'd finished our meals – we'd arrive at our table to find water already poured into glasses and a teapot with tea on the table. We also really enjoyed our host, Mark, who explained everything and showed us around. The restaurant's head manager, Ali, was constantly checking in to see how we were enjoying the food and whether everything was to our liking. - Daily cleaning, daily towel changes, including the beach towels. We've been to many places and seen many things, and in our opinion, this is a very decent resort with excellent value for money – we highly recommend it!

The service is excellent, I have no complaints about the staff, everyone is very polite, caring, and responsive! The food is delicious and varied! The island is beautiful, there are lots of different activities, the grounds are well-kept and picturesque! The only downside that was disappointing was the condition of the rooms: everything is very tired, shabby, in need of a complete overhaul, everything is old and hardly up to par for a 5-star hotel, everything is covered in film, it looks like an old, unkempt, neglected house, the bathroom was dirty when we checked in... Perhaps we didn't get the best room... We were offered an upgrade, but it was no longer necessary since we only had one day left to live. I don't know about the other villas, but ours was very tired.
