We stayed for 2 nights. Staff friendly and informative. Very clean and large bathroom and sleeping area. In walking distance if all things in old town. 10 to 25 min walk to train station.

. Location is near to the Pont de Pedra over to the old city. Most places are walkable in Girona and so you are close here to the cathedral, city walls many restaurants and cafes and the very interesting Museum of Cinema. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our room 205 was close to the lift, quiet and although compact was modern and well designed with a walk in shower and comfortable bed. Breakfast mainly continental but included additional scrambled eggs and bacon if you required it, was served in the ground floor restaurant which is part of the Savoy Cafe next door. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

Stayed for 3 nights in Hotel Peninsular, staff are fantastic (Andrea @reception brilliant) hotel ideally located for Girona visit... room spot on and really could not fault the place. Beautiful city ❤️

Staff and hotel are lovely. We had accidentally left some clothes behind in Barcelona (in a bag to be laundered). The hotel staff in Barcelona found the clothes after I contacted them and recommended a courier service. The courier service picked them up, packaged the bag of clothes and got them to Girona and Hotel Peninsular in record time. I had contacted Hotel Peninsular to let them know and the package was waiting for us when we arrived. Our room was very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was good and the location was great for walking. We checked out Roman ruins, walking the walls on the other side of the river and found some good restaurants. We had only 1 night in Girona which we regret was’t longer.

Lovely modern hotel smack in the centre of Girona virtually on the river and within easy walking distance from the cathedral and ancient city wall. Public parking is a five minute walk away and the hotel has special arrangements for discounted rates. The room and bathroom are well equipped and immaculate. There is both a fridge and safe in the room. The lift is a little slow. Staff are efficient and spoke good English. I will stay there again when next in the town.

Excellent value (we paid around €80 for a large double room in high summer) An easy walk (less than 10 minutes) from the old town, just across the river, and vast plaza de la Independencia, a 'plaza mayor' surrounded by bustling cafes and bars). Particularly friendly and helpful reception staff. But the main value lies in the bedroom, large by any standards and with a commensurately large bathroom. The decor - lighting, plenty of polished woodwork, a spacious desk - recalls the 1970s, while the large bathroom has the usual equipment, plus bath and - equally and agreeably old style - a bidet.

The hotel is very central and almost everything in the old town is in walking distance. The rooms are. functional, clean and over all the basics you need. Breakfast is ok as well, but nothing very special either. One or two nights here are absolutely ok.

Perfectly located, Just off the river and close to the old town, 10 min walk from train station and 10 min walk to high street shops. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, happy to hold on to luggage, arrange taxi to airport (fixed fee taxi €40), point out where to visit etc. bar was busy although we just stayed for a coffee. We had a triple room which was great value, no kettle or fridge but we were only staying one night. Only disadvantage and this came from my daughter, no socket near bed for Charging phone! Hotel key also gives access to back door which leads straight to river and bridge over to old quarter. Would highly recommend for a short break.

Easy 10 minute walk from the Girona train station. This hotel is very near the river, shops, and sights. Check in was smooth with English-speaking staff. The room was comfortable. We purchased the breakfast (extra 12/pp) buffet and it was delicious. It was nice that they allowed for stored baggage during the day while we explored the town.
