Sugar Palm Grand Hillside

The hotel has a great location, just a 10-minute walk to the beach. The room was clean, tidy, hygienic, and comfortable with no damp smell. The à la carte Western breakfast, made to order, was very delicious. Early check-in was also arranged for us. The only downside is that some rooms require walking up a slope.

The room is spacious. We specifically booked a pool access room, so we could step right into the pool from the balcony. The pool is shared by 3 rooms, with clean water and a comfortable temperature. Swimming rings are provided for non-swimmers, along with a lounging area, making it a great spot for a vacation. Our previous non-pool room was on the 4th floor with a nice view, and we didn't find any bugs. However, after moving to the 3rd-floor pool access room, we found 3 bugs. This time, the room was equipped with a Panasonic hairdryer, but the airflow was much weaker. As for cleanliness, it seemed a bit rushed and wasn't as clean as our first stay. We specifically tried the complimentary Tom Yum soup and drinks at the nearby restaurant provided by the hotel. The restaurant has a nice vibe, wasn't crowded, and serves Western food that tasted pretty good.

Good, cozy, and clean rooms. Close to all attractions, with many shops and cafes nearby. Breakfasts are delicious.

This hotel is so convenient and pleasant for us that we decided to extend our stay, even though we originally planned to move to another area. We stayed at this hotel 3 years ago, came back this year, and didn't regret it one bit. We'll definitely come again! 😊

We stayed as a family (two adults and an 8-month-old baby). The hotel accommodated all our requests when booking—we were given a room on a high floor with a gorgeous sea view (Room 1902 on the 9th floor). The soundproofing was also great; we couldn't hear the neighbors at all, which is super important when traveling with a baby. On top of that, when our friends arrived, the staff had no problem putting them in the room next door at our request—a special thank-you for that! The room itself was excellent, featuring a jacuzzi on the balcony. No complaints about the service whatsoever—housekeeping, along with changing the bed linens and towels, was done daily. The room was spotless, with no ants or other bugs in sight. There are several pools on-site, all kept impeccably clean. There is a dedicated kids' pool with a depth of 60 cm, while the other pools are 1.2 meters deep. The location is simply fantastic: just a 3-minute walk to the beach. Literally everything you need for a comfortable stay is right at your fingertips—cafés, a laundry service, scooter rentals, and a 7-Eleven. Right to the left of the hotel, there’s an excellent massage parlor. A quick heads-up for those traveling with a stroller: there is an incline of about 30 meters leading straight up to the hotel. Pushing the stroller up and down this stretch is best left to your husband. A special shout-out to the staff—they are mega awesome! Everyone was incredibly friendly, showing so much warmth and care toward children. They accommodated us in every way possible: checking us in 2 hours early upon arrival, and granting us a late check-out on departure. For a 3-hour extension, we only paid an extra 400 THB (even though the reception rate states 200 THB/hour). Regarding the food: breakfast was decent, but there is one thing to keep in mind. The menu is heavily egg-based, so if you're not a fan of eggs, the selection might seem limited and you probably won't enjoy it. Overall, we were completely thrilled with Sugar Palm Grand Hillside. We loved it so much that we actually canceled our reservation at another hotel just to extend our stay here. Highly recommended, and we definitely plan to come back next year!

Nice view, quiet. The rooms are cleaned well, and the pools are clean. The air conditioning works fine.

Excellent hotel! The room is clean and gets tidied up every day. The views are amazing, and the hotel has various swimming pools and an elevator for easy movement between levels. The views here are beautiful both day and night. I forgot to take a picture of the bathroom, but it has both a shower and a large bathtub. The refrigerator is quite spacious, everything is really good. It's only a 200-meter walk to the beach. I recommend this place!

The biggest highlights of this hotel are its excellent value for money and stunning pool views. Perched on a hillside, its unique location is quite special, and it's close to the beach (about 200-300 meters) with convenient amenities nearby. We stayed in a direct pool access room, which is their most popular room type – you can just open your balcony door and jump right into the pool for some fun whenever you like! Besides the pool, the hotel also features a gym, spa, and sauna. On the 7th floor, there's an open-air bar called HEAVEN with expansive views, perfect for enjoying the sunset and beautiful beach scenery. However, the in-room facilities are a bit dated, the air conditioning is noisy, and the front desk service was rather lukewarm, not particularly enthusiastic.
