Sugar Palm Grand Hillside

The biggest highlights of this hotel are its excellent value for money and stunning pool views. Perched on a hillside, its unique location is quite special, and it's close to the beach (about 200-300 meters) with convenient amenities nearby. We stayed in a direct pool access room, which is their most popular room type – you can just open your balcony door and jump right into the pool for some fun whenever you like! Besides the pool, the hotel also features a gym, spa, and sauna. On the 7th floor, there's an open-air bar called HEAVEN with expansive views, perfect for enjoying the sunset and beautiful beach scenery. However, the in-room facilities are a bit dated, the air conditioning is noisy, and the front desk service was rather lukewarm, not particularly enthusiastic.

I was able to check in early, and the room was clean. There's a pool and a sauna. It's in a good location, close to Kata Beach and not far from Kata Noi. I loved everything about it 🩷

The location is excellent! It's a 5-minute walk to Kata Beach, the market, massage places, and shops. The hotel is on a hill, but there are small cars that take you up anytime. We had a 67-year-old woman with us, and there were no problems; you just call reception, and they come right away to take you down. We booked three rooms with direct pool access. They accommodated us next to each other, so having our own pool was very convenient. We stayed on the upper floor, so no one walked past our rooms. They clean every day, which is great. Linens and towels are changed daily. The bedding is good. They provide free bottled water. The staff is very friendly. Breakfasts are good, partly à la carte and partly buffet. The selection isn't huge, but you won't go hungry. We liked it! 👍🏻

A really great hotel! They let me check in early, at 1 PM, and I received a welcome cocktail at the bar. The room was bright and very clean, with a proper refrigerator that actually cooled things instead of freezing them solid. The balcony was nice with a beautiful view (I was on the 9th floor, accessible by two elevators). Definitely recommend!

Highly recommend, excellent value for money! The breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of pools. The surrounding beaches and shopping were also convenient.

This was our fourth time staying here. The hotel is a bit older, but the room was very clean. I especially loved the large refrigerator, as we bring back a lot of drinks every day, and the big fridge allowed us to shop to our heart's content. I absolutely love this hotel and will definitely stay here again next time.

The hotel has a beautiful territory! Delicious breakfasts, great view from the window. Stunning sunsets. Friendly staff.
