Hotel le Colombier

It's clean.

The room was much more spacious than the cramped pigeonholes in central Paris; I could finally lay out my large suitcase. Be aware that the hotel passes many tourist attractions on cobblestone streets, making it very difficult to drag luggage. If you have a lot of luggage, remember to take a taxi. The hotel didn't provide slippers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, or even a kettle, but thankfully the air conditioning was very strong! Also, the breakfast here was delicious, provided you can eat white food.

Everything is within walking distance. It's a very nice hotel with clean, renovated rooms and helpful staff. We booked two rooms for two families. Both were lovely. The Gutenberg hotel in Strasbourg, which belongs to the Diana group, was also very nice. Thank you.

The second hotel on my French itinerary was very comfortable. It was a 15-minute walk from Colmar station, right in the heart of town's lively area. The front desk service was excellent; they brought my stored luggage to the room in advance, and even escorted me to my room when I got my key – a service rarely seen in many hotels these days. The shower in the bathroom was incredibly comfortable, a welcome relief from fatigue. The toiletries were from Nuxe, and the room even had capsule coffee. It's a pity I only had half a day in Colmar; I really wanted to stay longer.

Characteristic structure. Tastefully furnished and maintained. Extremely kind and efficient staff. Finely decorated rooms. Exceptional continental breakfast. One of the most beautiful hotels in all of Alsace. Recommended.
