Abashiri Royal Hotel

Convenient location

The hotel is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Abashiri Station. However, the interior is quite old; although well-maintained, it still shows signs of age. For example, the toilet is very loud, and there's an unexplained sound of running water. The blankets looked rather dirty, yellowed overall, but they were comfortable to use. The large public bathhouse downstairs is even older; it might be okay for a day or two, but not for long stays. The most ridiculous thing is the hotel's restaurant, which is only open for two hours in the evening. Perhaps due to the summer heat, almost nothing on the menu was available, including seafood and sashimi; only hamburgers were offered, which was very disappointing. However, the staff were very friendly, which is commendable!

"It shows its age, but it's incredibly clean and comfortable!" While the building and facilities themselves show their age, they were meticulously cleaned and tidy, giving a very clean impression. You could tell the staff took excellent care of the place. Thanks to them, I was able to spend my time comfortably and without any inconvenience. I would like to use it again.

It's a little far from the city center, but there's a convenience store very close by. I booked this hotel because it's near the Prison Museum, and it was easy to get there by car. If you come by car, you can easily get to the city center, but the hotel is a bit far from the train station, so I gave it 4 stars. All the staff were very friendly and helpful 👍 It was also very clean, and thanks to them, I was able to relax!
