Quality Inn & Suites NJ State Capital Area

The property was just normal. Not exactly in a good location. It was maintained well on the outside. The inside looked old and dated. The rooms were OK just very old looking. The toilet of the room we first went into was cracked on the inside where the water is. So we asked for a different room. When we got to that room, the exact same thing was in the second room as well. We just gave up and decided to spend the night at the same room. We did tell the front desk about it though. That’s ironic that both the toilets had a crack in it. At first, the staff did not believe us and thought it was a hair. However, my husband took a picture and showed it to them. Breakfast was just OK.

I do not recommend this hotel. The room had an odor that was overwhelming, my husband and I check out the same day.

Maintenance was painting the room I was given and the front desk was not aware. I was going to my granddaughters graduation and had to change so the painters left the room while I changed clothes. This happened on June 15th @ 3:00pm On June 20th I returned to the hotel because there was going to be a graduation party and I live in Massachusetts. I requested room 109 but it was not cleaned and I was put in room 103, when I went to the bathroom the painters left behind a can of paint remover and other painting items. I was informed that room 109 would not be ready for an hour. While I waited for room 109 the cleaning staff were arguing in the storage room. No one came into room 103 to remove the things the painters left behind. I did not get into room 109 until after 3:30p.m. I do want to also mention that the cleaning staff were making breakfast while the guest were eating. Are they there to assure the guest in the hotel are taken care of or to stuff their faces? The desk staff Elizabeth, Farhana and Naz were excellent, they went over and above to assure the guest were well taken care of, but the cleaning staff did little if anything to make sure the hotel was presentable and acted disrespectful towards the guest to argue loudly in a place of business.☹️

The rooms were clean and in decent condition. The continental breakfast was surprisingly good. My kids were excited to make/eat freshly self made waffles. They had a small pool area, we did not get a chance to use it but it is a nice accommodation.

Fridge was broken, you have to pay a security deposit of 100$ months Ben though nothing works, shampoo conditioner and lotion were almost empty in the room when we arrived, housekeeping didn’t come to our room at all and we were there two nights.

The office staff, Elisabeth, Farhana and Naz were every accommodating, but housing keeping was not. On June 15, 2026 at 3:00pm the cleaning staff were painting 109 room without the knowledge of the front desk. This was the room I was assigned to. I had the disability room, The staff had to leave the room while I got dressed for my granddaughters graduation. I overlooked the situation, they left the room, so that I could get dressed than returned to finish. I returned to the hotel on June 20th to attend a graduation party. I was put in room 103. The staff left paint brushes, a big can of paint thinner which is very flammable and other painting things. I took a picture of what was left behind. I requested another room and had to wait one hour before a disability room was cleaned. While I waited for my room No one came into the room to get the flammable can left behind. As I waited for my room after 3:00pm. The cleaning staff a man and a woman were arguing in the storage room (so unprofessional) I took a picture of what was left behind. Room 109 had a musky smell and the tv remote was so dirty that I had to put a plastic over it. I informed Naz but apparently housekeeping didn’t care. I wanted to add the picture with what was left by behind but was unable to load onto this page. The cleaning staff needs training on how to clean hotels rooms. Never again

The breakfast was just ok. First day, bacon was burnt, there was no juice or milk. 2nd day was better. The room was cleaned but smelled. The pool was small but good enough for my kids. The sign of the hotel was too small that google map showed us ti drive 2 more miles, but discovered that you can reach the hotel through the small shops nearby. The ladies on the desk were helpful.
