Villa Grand Voile - Christopher Coutanceau

What a wonderful welcome on arrival . Makes such a difference after a difficult journey . The team at this exclusive hotel are excellent . It’s a boutique place immaculately maintained. Our room was small but had everything we needed . The bed and linen were immaculate . Towels let it down a bit in size and quality but a small niggle. Supper was amazing by the seaside and transfers by the hotel car lovely . Highly recommend. Than you all.

I am in two minds about this establishment- many of the Relais & Chateau values are upheld :- hospitality and kindness, diversity & awareness of sustainability. However, we found the first room we stayed in downstairs to have no natural light due to frosted glass, noise from the bar down the street and an odd arrangement of a shower in the room. The second upstairs room was an improvement. Breakfast was served in a busy conservatory - breakfast was from a menu / service was kind but slow, ingredients good but somehow the meal wasn’t as expected. All in all we wouldn’t return but would give an 7/10.

This is perhaps the best hotel I have ever been to. The service of all the staff was unbelievable. From the moment we pulled in to the moment we left. Eager but not obtrusive. Room amazing. Lounge and pool superb. Affiliated restaurants world class This hotel is a must stay!!!

Outstanding hotel! The daily tart / pastry was exceptional too and a lovely touch

This hotel is phenomenal! The service is impeccable. I believe The Villa Grand Voile is a destination in itself. What a wonderful place to stay. It's clean, the bedding is so comfy, did I mention the service and the convivence to downtown. Don't miss out on this one, Incredible hospitality.

Amazing service from all staff. We were made to feel at home immediately. You could not wish for better service at any hotel. We will return.

deceptive on the hotel quality / price ration but excellent for the breakfast and location. A plus is the absence of waiting list for Coutanceau restaurant.

We loved this hotel and we liked La Rochelle. Nice room and friendly helpful staff. It is well located being only a few minutes walk from the old town, the harbour, ferries and towers, and plenty of restaurants, however seems well separated from the tourist crowds.

A delightful place to stay. There was great attention to detail in every respect. Would highly recommend.
