Château des Vigiers

Again a fantastic stay at Le Relais and great golf with 27 challenging holes at your doorstep. Diner at the bistro is most enjoyable with friendly staff and various menu possibilities Service at the golf course is impeccable and helpful. Golf is the thing to do here and worth revisiting.

The château is very pretty and set in lovely grounds, (predominantly the golf course). We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The rooms have the basics you need and were quiet and clean. However, I think that the food and drink services really let the hotel down. There is a beautiful terrace outside the old château, served by a scruffy little bar with a very limited drinks selection. Also, the hotel was full on our last night, but one of tthe only 2 restaurants were closed, leaving many disappointed and hungry guests! Room service provided us with what appeared to be a microwaved, tasteless pot of pasta.

The hotel and all the staff were excellent. The food in the Bistro was excellent and the variety and pricing was first class. The room in the Chateaux was beautiful and the housekeeping was of a very high standard. The golf course was of a very high standard and the staff were very helpful. The Michelin restaurant was a wonderful experience and the food was very creative and well presented. Breakfast was very good with good choice. All in all a wonderful experience. A well run hotel and we will be back.

We stayed in the relais. Excellent room. Good breakfast - lots of choice. Very good communication with the hotel staff for booking the room and the golf. Great reception. Very clean. Nice swimming pool. For playing golf OK, but the fairway was not in a good shape probably due to the dryness.

Lovely R&C. We did have an issue with our door lock, however. We got locked in and locked out. Something for them to follow up on!

Our stay in the Prestige suite was everything we hoped it would be. The people were very attentive and pleasant, helping us with dinner reservations and any questions. We enjoyed the beautiful breakfast every morning with staff who made our experience even better. Both restaurants on site were marvelous and I highly recommend trying the apple tart with carmel sauce. The golf stay suited us perfectly with plenty of golf for him and the wonderful Sothys spa for me. The people at the spa were highly skilled and made my treatments delightful. I highly recommend a stay at the Chateau, ours met and exceeded our expectations.

Amazing hotel at an amazing location. If your an avid Golfer, then this is the place to be. Lovely scenic golf course. Very peaceful & quite place to stay and enjoy nature. Can hear the birds singing every morning and late evening. So relaxing. Only 30 mins away from Bergerac Airport by car.

We enjoyed our spacious Chateau room, with a king-sized bed and luxe linens. The Bistro and Le Fresque offered wonderful meals and the service by all staff was friendly and excellent. Our room needs a bit of a refresh and repair--the old key lock on the door, the carpet, the faucets in the bathroom. A walk in shower would be safer than the large bathtub with faucets awkwardly located. The public rooms and outdoor areas are gorgeous and comfortable. We did not golf but the course looks to be in fine shape. The staff arranged for a nearby winery and vineyard tour and it was very interesting, although the 60 Euro cab fare, there and back just 10 minutes away, seemed like a lot. All in all, a delightful, relaxing, interesting stay.
