The Cityview - Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong

Booked this hotel for the Weeknd concert. The location is pretty good and not far from Kai Tak. However, for a 1,000 RMB-per-night hotel, they don't even provide toothbrushes—you have to buy your own. The facilities are also extremely outdated: when using the hair dryer, there's no mirror where the plug is, and no plug where the mirror is. There are no bedside outlets either. The room is really run-down and the value for money is terrible.

The room was surprisingly large, very clean, and bedbug-free!!!! The bed was also very comfortable. We booked the family room, and the connecting door was thick with great soundproofing. The location is fantastic—super close to the subway station, and just a two-minute walk from the airport limousine bus drop-off point. There are tons of food options all around. There's a breakfast spot that is amazingly delicious, mostly frequented by locals so it feels very authentic, and the ambiance is nice too. The only downside is that the bathroom facilities are a bit dated, but the water pressure is great. I would definitely consider staying here again next time!

The room looks nothing like the pictures. Not only is it tiny, but the cleanliness is absolutely horrendous. Seriously, it's so bad. After just one night, my whole family got bitten all over our legs by something. Our legs were itchy for days and still haven't healed. For the love of all that is good, please, for your own sake, avoid this hotel!

The location is fantastic, just a short walk from Yau Ma Tei MTR Station Exit D. If you have luggage, the elevator is across from Exit D, though I've forgotten the exact exit number. The hotel's location makes it very convenient to get to Mong Kok, Tsim Sha Tsui, and Whampoa. You can even walk back to Mong Kok and Jordan. Nathan Road, right in front of the hotel, has plenty of food options. Fat Sister's Snack Shop (Fei Jie Xiao Shi) is also within walking distance, but expect a long queue. Kai Kai Dessert (Jia Jia Tian Pin) is right next to it; there were empty seats when I went, so I bought some mango sago with black glutinous rice to eat back at the hotel – it was delicious! The room was just okay, sufficient for one person. There was no bottled water or disposable toiletries. They provided a cup in the drawer to get drinking water from the lobby, but who would use that cup...? The shower area was cramped, making it difficult to turn around, and the sink area looked like something from the last century. For my return journey, I took the Tsuen Wan Line to Central and transferred to the Airport Express. You can check in and drop off your luggage at Hong Kong Station, which is very convenient.

Overall, my stay was quite pleasant. The hotel environment was clean and tidy, the room layout was comfortable, and the facilities were fairly complete. The front desk staff had a great attitude, and both check-in and check-out were smooth. The location is convenient for getting around, and there are plenty of options for dining and shopping nearby. The soundproofing and cleanliness of the room were also decent. All in all, it offers good value for money, and I would consider staying here again if I have the chance.
