This hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right in the Myeongdong shopping district. I recommend taking the Limousine Bus 6015 to the Ibis Ambassador Hotel stop; it's a 2-minute walk from there. On the way there, the staff were very kind, polite, and helped with luggage – the driver was super nice. On the way back, however, we encountered a rude driver who swore constantly (attacking all tourists indiscriminately) and kept yelling when he gave us the wrong change. Still, the bus is definitely the most convenient way to get to this hotel. Hope future travelers have better luck with the drivers!
Right downstairs from the hotel, there's an Olive Young (not huge, just one floor), and next to it is a whole street of fried chicken restaurants. The famous Gopchang restaurant 'Goonja's Gopchang' is within a 5-minute walk, and Lotte Department Store is just across the street. Location-wise, it's a perfect 100 out of 100.
The hygiene was excellent with no strange odors. The TV has Netflix and YouTube, and the soundproofing is pretty good – I didn't hear much noise at night, probably because it's a quiet spot despite being in a bustling area. The lady at the front desk spoke good English, and the service and introductions were thorough. The hotel has a smoking area, paid washing machines, water dispensers, and vending machines. There's also a 'shampoo room' but I'm not sure what it's for.
I stayed in a triple room with friends. Each bed had a bedside table, charging port, and reading lamp. There's a small kitchenette for simple cooking, and the fridge is large and very useful. They provide one complimentary bottle of water per person daily. The lobby has a luggage scale, which was great for our shopping trip with friends!
