Craftsbury Farmhouse

Rooms are clean and rustic, common areas are great for larger groups to socialize. Shared bathrooms were clean and we had the wing to ourselves so our party had more than enough amenities. Fridge, microwave, sink, coffee supplies in shared kitchen. Recommend bringing in bottled water. Attached Bistro was wonderful - great food / bar / staff. A really great rural VT experience!

Owners are attentive and easy to reach at all times. Clean, comfortable rooms. I’ve stayed here many times and slept on a couch bed 3 times, getting the best sleep I had in months. The two rooms we have stayed in have everything needed to reheat and eat mesls. I just discovered the full kitchen and lounge for guests. No TVs in rooms, but WiFi allows using a laptop or phone for that, or go to common area TV. Restaurant (great food)) has different owners who don’t always stay open as posted, so check hours in person because it’s a long drive to anywhere else at night. Lovely place to stay.

Super suite with BR, bath, hallway, and multi-use kitchen. Entry is made without staff — self service. Beautiful surroundings. Can’t go wrong.

This property was old which wasn't a problem it was quaint but the fern room was comically small, felt like the top half of a barn, like the whole building was probably a barn. The room had ladybugs & flys, the ladybugs didn't bother me but the flys were making horrible buzzing sounds & we couldn't sleep so we had to kill the flys but left the ladybugs alone. Other flys never came back so that was good, perhaps someone left a door open. You could easily hear the rooms nearby like a simple radio playing, speaking quietly, etc. The bathroom downstairs closest to the fern room was absolutely disgusting, it was old, had bugs everywhere, no proper towels, & the shower was very unappealing. However the bathroom closer to the outdoor area was lovely much cleanier, nice towels, shower was good. The outdoor area was beautiful very photogenic & cozy. The restaurant/bar was open at very specific hours which meant we never got to use it because we had to travel around vermont (the hotel is not located near anything interesting) & by the time we came back like 9pm it was closed & in the mornings its not open at all, which was pretty disappointing. So there's nothing at all to do at night in the hotel except sleep or read, etc (no tv either). I never saw any staff but they texted & were kind & responsive. My husband & I were there for an anniversary trip, we spent most of our time driving & exploring Vermont. Bed was cozy but I found it strange we had to ***** it before leaving.

I enjoyed my stay at the Craftsbury Farmhouse very much. It was clean and quiet and a lovely property. The only drawback was not having heat in the tent-cabin and the bathroom is a bit far from the tent-cabin.

There is no cellular connection well before you reach the property. They should have emailed us directions to the property prior to our stay. We were driving in the middle of nowhere well after dark. The coffee maker is complete crap. I have made three pots of coffee that are not drinkable. It shouldn’t be this difficult. If you are 50 y/o or above and cannot hold your bladder through the night, don’t stay here. The bathrooms are shared and you will need to walk down thin squeaky stairs to use the facilities

The property has beautiful views and a verity of areas to lounge. I enjoyed the amount of space available for us to enjoy. We will definitely come back to stay here when visiting Vermont again!

An out-of-the-way place to unwind. Very unique, with a convenient restaurant attached.

I arrived around 4:30 PM, and there was no one available to assist me. I had no idea what to do, especially since there’s no cell reception in the area. I hadn’t received the email explaining the check-in procedure. I turned to a waitress from the restaurant for help, but she told me the restaurant operates independently and that she couldn’t assist me. I tried to figure things out on my own, and thankfully, a kind guest showed me how to connect to the Wi-Fi. About 30 minutes later, I was finally able to access the information I needed and understood where to go and what to do. The accommodation is indeed clean, but unfortunately, my neighbors have two dogs that won’t stop barking. I politely asked them to quiet the dogs, but nothing has changed. And to come back to my initial point—since there’s no staff on site, I’m completely left on my own. It’s truly disappointing because this place has so much potential for a great stay, but these issues make the experience frustrating.
