Harbour Plaza Metropolitan

“Exceptional Value with Outstanding Service” I recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Harbour Plaza Metropolitan Hotel. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and well-appointed. While the rooms are cozy rather than spacious, they are comfortable and feature modern bathrooms (some with bathtubs). The amenities—including a pool, spa, and a well-equipped gym—are excellent for a hotel in this price range. The restaurant provides a good variety of both Chinese and Western cuisine. The location is a major highlight, being just a 2-minute walk from the Zhenru Metro Station (Line 11), which offers effortless access to all of Shanghai. Adjacent to the station is a new shopping center filled with plenty of dining and retail options. What truly elevated my experience was the exceptional service, particularly from “Evans” at the front desk. His command of English, proactive helpfulness, and deep local knowledge were invaluable. He expertly assisted with my luggage storage, offered to help me book a taxi, I used Didi instead, but he-went out of his way to help with my luggage and when I enquired about a late check-out, that was no problems at all, he is a local so do pick his brains about recommendations for exploring Shanghai. His kind, super friendly, helpful and nice! Combining high-quality service, modern facilities, and an unbeatable location at an affordable price, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel was really nice. We got a free welcome drink, the lobby was luxurious. Location wise, actually it is quite far from city center like around a 30 mins drive with taxi. However, it is close to a shopping mall and subway station where the subway line that could go directly to Disneyland (around 1 hour trip I think). There is a halal restaurant in the same complex. In the room, the size is quite spacious, at least for putting luggages. Water heater & hairdryer was available.

Very good breakfast. Good weight room. Subway very close. Very convenient. And over all amazing service.
