DeCamondo Galata, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Be careful!! I travel every 2-3 weeks, stayed at this hotel for 5 nights solo. when checking out, left my bags for one hour, when coming back, I was told I have broken shower head and have to pay around 6500 lir (around 140 USD) and they showed me a picture! that picture could be taken anytime before me, from any other room. if a picture is evidence, they they shoudl take picture from every single things in room before check in and sign. I was calm at the beggining as I thought thery were jokking. anyway, I told them not paying anything either this is SCAM or they do not know what they are talkign about. they insisted, so I was close to call my embassy and police and they raise my voice so other guests knows and be careful what might happend to them. finally they said it is ok. Be careful about this place

Very convenient location near Galata Tower and Karakoy tram stop/ferry terminal. Their rooftop bar is located in another of their building just one block away and has a great panaromic view of the Bospohrus. Noted the front desk may be short staffed as I've tried calling the front desk a couple of times without answer.

Excellent stay at DeCamondo Galata, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. The hotel combines character, style, and comfort in a very attractive historic setting. Our room was clean, well maintained, and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a full day exploring the city. Service throughout the stay was warm, professional, and helpful. The location was especially convenient, with easy access to Galata, nearby restaurants, and many of Istanbul’s key sights. Facilities were well kept and the overall atmosphere felt boutique yet polished. A wonderful choice for travellers wanting both charm and practicality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Awesome stay. Impeccable location, service ( early check in is available if you ask), amenities, a true elite hotel experience. Not saying they are perfect but they are doing a nicer job in turkey than a lot of other hotels that cost the same or more. Highly recommended

Hotel has 2 different buildings which are close by but not next door. Luckily the hotel staff assisted with carrying of luggage to the other building, otherwise it would be a nightmare! Location is great! Very close to Galata Tower and there are plenty of choices for food & shopping nearby.

Perfect location, very nice hotel, lovely breakfast. Loved our stay here. Would love to stay here again
