Mercure Singapore on Stevens

I recently stayed at the Mercure during my trip to Singapore, and I wasn't very impressed with the hotel. First, after checking in and going up to my room, I saw a cockroach in the elevator. The carpets in the hallways were old and stained. My room was okay, but the cleanliness was disappointing, with stains on the towels and bedding. For breakfast, they offered a variety of options, but the food was cold because it had been sitting out for too long. The exterior and surrounding area of the hotel are excellent, with a bus station just a short walk away that takes you directly to key locations. Overall, I don’t think I will stay at this hotel again.

I had a very comfortable stay at thehotel. The bedding was good, room was clean, nice buffet breakfast, excellent gym facilities and nice pool. Close proximity to Orchard Road and the free shuttle bus was a plus poin.

The hotel itself is decent, and the room was generally clean and comfortable. However, my experience with the front desk was disappointing. The service felt unfriendly and not very welcoming, and I didn’t feel that my concerns or questions were handled with much care. While the stay was acceptable overall, I think the customer service at reception could be improved to create a better first impression and overall guest experience.

Convenient place to stay, below the hotel have restaurants and 7eleven…

+ 700 meters from metro station Stevens (10 mins and you’re in a center for 0.10 SGD + shuttle bus to the shopping mall ION + amazing bed + pillows + free bar inside the room + all what you need is there (toothpaste / soap etc) + view from a window + luggage room + water with lemon (downstairs ) What I didn’t like: - not so good speaking English staff - not so much helpful staff (even it was hard to get an umbrella)
