Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund

Waldorf Astoria on the Bund concierge team, Tom, Max, and Jason, are incredibly reliable! They helped me store my valuables, and I felt completely at ease throughout my stay. A big thumbs-up to them. We also got an upgrade to a river view room, and Christmas was absolutely beautiful. A truly pleasant check-in experience.

Everything went smoothly from booking to check-in. The hotel even added a special touch to our room for my wife and I's wedding anniversary – a thoughtful card, red roses in a vase, velvet cake, and balloon decorations were all lovely! However, the only slight disappointment during this stay was the smart toilet in the bathroom; every time the automatic lid opened, there was a sewage-like odor. Everything else was great, and breakfast was good too. The service was also very warm and attentive.

I had decided early on that I wanted to spend Christmas at the Waldorf Astoria this year, and it turns out I made the perfect choice! The Christmas atmosphere was incredibly strong, and the giant Christmas tree in the main hall was absolutely stunning. The service was excellent. Perhaps because so many people were coming in just to take photos, the staff couldn't keep an eye on everyone, so no one helped with my luggage when I first arrived. However, while I was waiting in line to check in, a staff member quickly noticed and proactively helped arrange my bags. A lady also led me to my room and explained everything along the way. This time, I also tried the Sunday brunch buffet; the oysters and langoustines were incredibly fresh and sweet, and my favorite dessert was the Mont Blanc. The exclusive concierges arranged by the hotel, Echole, Eva, and Danny, provided impeccable and attentive service throughout. My experience at the Waldorf Astoria on the Bund was nothing short of perfect.

The Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund boasts an excellent location, directly facing the Huangpu River and the Bund's historic architectural complex, offering stunning night views. The service from Jude, Jimmy, and Brin was incredibly meticulous and attentive, from the front desk to room service. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with luxurious details evident throughout. It's truly one of the must-stay hotels when visiting Shanghai.

The concierge service at Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund is simply exemplary! Upon arrival, Jimmy proactively took our luggage, and Jude Brin patiently introduced us to the history of the old building and the best routes for exploring the Bund. They even thoughtfully followed up on our restaurant reservations. Professional and warm, they truly embody the hospitality expected of a luxury hotel.

The hotel service was excellent, especially the concierge team – Yulia, Mark, and Brin deserve a hundred thumbs up! The only minor issue is the soundproofing, which isn't great. I'd definitely stay here again!
