Apukka Resort

I stayed at Apukka Resort and it was truly unforgettable. Everything was perfect, from the spotless cleanliness to the peaceful location near the airport. The service was exceptional; they even picked us up by car from the reception and drove us directly to our room, which made everything feel so warm and personal despite the -30°C weather. Sipping hot chocolate in the freezing Arctic air felt surreal, and our private sauna session was incredibly relaxing, the perfect way to end a snowy day. But the most magical moment? Watching the Northern Lights dance right in front of our room. So vivid, so clear, so unreal. It was honestly one of the best experiences of our lives. A dream I will never forget.

The apartment was quite expensive and also quite far from the city centre. There is a staircase inside the apartment that is a genuine safety concern, especially at night. If you forget that the stairs are there, it would be very easy to trip and fall. There was no milk or black tea provided; only Earl Grey tea and coffee pods were available. We don’t use coffee pods, so it was quite inconvenient in the morning to have to go to the market to buy black tea, coffee and milk. The space around the bed was also quite limited, making it difficult to move around comfortably. On the positive side, the service was good, and our WhatsApp messages were responded to very quickly. We appreciated the prompt communication and overall helpfulness. Overall, considering the price and location, we expected better facilities and more thoughtful arrangements for travellers.

Good experience at Appuka resort. Kids had fun with the available plastic sleighs and just slide down the mini snow hills.

Going to Santas Claus Village in Finland is always one of my childhood goals! Apukka Resort will be a perfect Homebase to visit Santa Claus Village as well as exploring the wilderness of the surrounding. I also took the reindeer sleigh ride. Good fun!

If you ever get the chance to visit Santa Claus Village, absolutely do NOT stay at this hotel—it’s trash, trash, trash, trash, trash!

Terrible!!! Firstly I was double charged on my card until I made a complaint, they have to refund me. Then there is a data security incident that I recieved that said my data was compromised. After that, I couldn't travel to Finland due to flight cancellation and they refused to refund my trip even it is due to unforeseen circumstances. I haven't even lived here but my experience with them is so bad that I will NEVER book them again.
