Shangri-La Sydney

I recently stayed at a five-star hotel and unfortunately my experience did not meet the standards expected from a hotel of this level. From the moment I arrived, the service felt disorganized and unwelcoming. The check-in process took much longer than expected, and the staff did not seem attentive or helpful. For a hotel that claims five-star service, the level of hospitality was disappointing. I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. I was given a room on the 4th floor, but unfortunately there was no view at all. Instead of a pleasant view, the room faced outside noise which was extremely disturbing and made it difficult to rest. What made the situation worse was the constant noise from outside that could clearly be heard inside the room. For a hotel that claims high standards, the level of comfort and sound control was far below expectations. I politely asked the staff if it was possible to change to another room, but my request was not accommodated and no helpful solution was offered. The service I received was very disappointing and lacked the professionalism and care that guests should receive. Overall, the service was not good, and the experience did not meet the standard that I expected. I hope the hotel can improve both their service and their attention to guest comfort in the future.
