Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris

This is my second stay at the Lutetia Hotel. We stayed at the junior suite last year in September and I was so impressed with the stay that of all the hotels in Paris, I chose to re stay here. I was also very excited to bring my friend as it was her first time in Paris and I had absolutely raved this hotel. To begin, the service atmosphere felt very lacking compared to before or even other mandarin oriental locations. Was the service bad? No- but is it a five star hotel level that communicates hospitality? Also, no. The towels were never changed. I am stunned by this. The car doors were rarely opened. Majority of the time, we would see doorman just standing us not even helping us with the door even if we were carrying something. Last time, we went to the bar almost every night and I was also super excited about it this time. However, the host and server were all nonexistent. The server in particularly was not nice, seemed like she wanted to rush us to order despite me asking questions about the drinks. Lastly, it’s not a dealbreaker but we had embroidered hotel pillows last time, none this time. Definitely dampened. While I prefer St Germain over other arrondissements in Paris, I will not be staying at the Lutetia again.

This Mandarin in Rive Gauche is much more better situated than the other Mandarin. So close to Le Bon Marché and St Germaine, offering lots of fun for shopping and window shopping. The mattresses are extremely comfy too.

Stayed a couple of nights here - and the hotel more than delivered. From the moment your cab arrived at the hotel, multiple doormen would come to take care of you and the luggage. The concierge desk was very helpful in providing recommendations and securing tickets for museums which was essential to avoid the long queues. They very kindly upgraded us to a balcony room, which looking back should be the room to book at a minimum. The balcony view was lovely and we enjoyed lounging there very much. Breakfast at the brasserie with the semi-outdoor seat was quintessential, the spa area was great and the indoor pool was long enough for a swim. During our stay we also visited Rosewood (v briefly), and you could tell MO operates at a level above in terms of services (as per our experience in HK). Absolutely loved the location here as well, great neighbourhood and there are just so places you can walk to in under 15 minutes. 10/10 hotel for us.

My partner and I spent 4 nights for our anniversary. We arrived early to the hotel and were shocked when the room was ready for check in. Charlotte at the desk was so lovely! She gave us a tour of the hotel and then brought us to our room. My partner arranged for breakfast to be waiting for us in our room and the hotel staff added rose petals, flowers and a beautiful anniversary cake. The spa and fitness center are stunning! But, what sets this hotel apart is the level of personal service. From getting us impossible dinner reservations to ensuring our room was always tidy (they even folded our clothes!) - this was truly a 5 star experience!

recommended by friends and enjoyed every moment. we were offered and shown an upgrade for a discounted price but stuck with our original room because the space was unique and enough for our stay. restaurants and amenities in the hotel are great. loved the location close to popular luxury shops, metro and popular tourist attractions. concierge made great recommendations for local lunch/dinner spots that weren’t too crowded or touristy. everyone was friendly and would definitely stay here whenever i revisit Paris.

This review is for the spa. Highly recommend Morgen for massage. The hammam and sauna were clean and enjoyable. The locker rooms were also clean and full of amenities. The Spa Director resolved an issue that arose during our visit with strong customer service and professionalism, leaving us with confidence that this spa backs its services. Would recommend for others and hope to be back again.

The hotel is closed due to mass group bookings or events it seems. Was cordoned off for pedestrians and we’d have to walk around the building and not even past it
