Recently went for a golf break at this hotel with a group of friends and, overall, we had a wonderful time. The facilities, atmosphere, and company made for a very enjoyable trip. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by a serious incident. One of my friends, a professional golfer who left her golf clubs by the pool and sat at the bar . When she returned about an hour later, they had disappeared. What was most disappointing was the response from the hotel. We were told there were no cameras covering the pool area and that there was little they could do to help. It's difficult to understand why such a public area would not be monitored, especially at a resort catering to golfers where expensive equipment is commonly brought on site. For my friend, these clubs are far more than just golf equipment. They are irreplaceable, having been carefully fitted and used throughout her professional career. She was absolutely devastated by the loss. While we appreciate that the hotel may not be directly responsible for a guest's belongings, we expected a greater level of support, investigation, and empathy ir compensation.... The lack of CCTV coverage and the limited assistance offered left us feeling very disappointed. A lovely golf break sadly ended on a very sour note. I don't think I will go back there.
