The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort

Fantastic location, but desperately needs renovation. While they're investing in new buildings, some of the older ones have significant defects.

The hotel's private beach is absolutely stunning, and the snorkeling and turtle sanctuary are exceptional.

Excellent hotel on a stunning island, with white sand and turquoise water. This seems to be the best beach on Redang. You can snorkel with turtles right from the shore. The room was spacious, the service was great, and there's a gym with panoramic ocean views. The breakfast had a good variety.

If money is no object, this place is paradise! Everything here comes with a fee, but once you pay, the service is absolutely fantastic 😄😄😄 It's also super convenient to get your diving certification here; you can get it in as little as three days, and the instructors are excellent!

The hotel having a lounge at Terengganu Airport is a huge plus! Upon arrival, the lounge staff were incredibly helpful and quickly arranged our transfer to the jetty. Once we reached the island and checked in, everything was meticulously organized, with staff collaborating efficiently to manage all our bookings. Saiful, the restaurant manager, thoughtfully added me on WeChat to arrange our themed dinner, which was a very nice touch – thumbs up! Our customer relations manager, Hamdan, followed up throughout our stay, assisting with activity arrangements, answering all our questions, and checking in daily to see how we were doing, making us feel right at home – another thumbs up! Finally, I have to mention the fantastic location of The Taaras! The private beach view from our cliff suite was absolutely stunning! The room was spacious and well-laid out; our whole family loved it! With all the facilities at the hotel, there's no chance of getting bored. A tip for future visitors: the hotel has its own private airstrip on the island. Next time we come to Redang, we can fly directly from Kuala Lumpur with Taaras Air, saving us the hassle of the boat journey! All in all, The Taaras is the top choice for Redang Island!

Beautiful, comfortable rooms with excellent beach and sea views, delicious food, and a large territory. We really enjoyed everything and will definitely come back again.

I read a lot of reviews before coming, so my expectations weren't too high. But after arriving, I found that besides the high price, everything else was truly excellent. Our hotel was the only one on the entire beach, so if you like fewer crowds, this is the place to go. Bryan was fantastic; he sent us all the hotel activities and restaurant information upon arrival, and he was very quick to respond to any requests. Every staff member at the hotel greeted us with a smile and a warm hello. We brought our child, and they even sent snacks to our room every day. The scenery is absolutely stunning. Honestly, besides being expensive, there's nothing to fault!

The hotel has a great beach view, and Ms. Meiling, the Chinese-speaking customer service representative, provided excellent service! However, the beach BBQ buffet is a rip-off. For 180 MYR per person, they don't even have Coke or Sprite, the juice is watered down, and there are only three main dishes: lamb chops, beef, chicken, shrimp, and mussels.
