Elegant Hotel Xi'an Bell Tower Yongning Gate (South Gate)

The hotel's decor has a distinct Xi'an charm. The front desk is on the 5th floor, which made checking out a bit inconvenient as you have to make a special trip up there. That said, enjoying the complimentary afternoon tea against the backdrop of the Xi'an City Wall at sunset was truly an unforgettable highlight of the trip. The complimentary fruit in the room was also a lovely, thoughtful touch. The staff kindly upgraded us to a room with a huge curved panoramic window—the view was simply unbeatable. However, even with all the windows shut, the soundproofing could be improved; street racing noise wasn't completely blocked out. The hotel might want to consider upgrading to better vacuum-insulated glass to solve this issue once and for all. The scents of the shampoo and body wash matched the hotel's vibe perfectly—they seem very intentionally chosen. It would be even better if disposable face towels were provided. The most troublesome part was the motorized curtains: you had to be careful not to knock over the TV when opening or closing them. Moving the TV elsewhere would be a good idea, especially since it actually gets in the way of the panoramic window view anyway. We slept with the curtains open and were treated to a beautiful sunrise the next morning.

Fantastic location with stunning restaurant views. The hotel serves as a convenient base for visiting all major attractions, and the late-night noodles are exceptionally delicious.

The room was spacious and bright with soft, comfortable bedding for a great night's sleep. [Heart] The hotel is lovely, and the staff are warm, polite, and make you feel right at home. It's also very pretty and features a free self-service laundry room and a gym. The breakfast was delicious too. [Heart] Everything was wonderful, and I'll definitely stay here again next time. They even included a marathon package and a complimentary late check-out until 4 PM—truly the most thoughtful hotel for the marathon race.
