You know a hotel is special when it makes being disoriented feel like a luxury. This place is affectionately nicknamed the "Upside Down Hotel" – and for good reason. The lobby isn't on the ground floor; it's on the 5th. So every time your instincts tell you to go up, you actually go down, and every time you think you should go down, you go up. It sounds confusing, but honestly? It didn't matter one bit.
Why? Because the feng shui throughout the hotel is absolutely brilliant. The energy flows so seamlessly that you stop thinking about floors altogether. Every corner, every hallway, every room feels perfectly balanced. And speaking of rooms – they are beautifully appointed, decorated in a peaceful, calm, and elegant style that lives up to the hotel's name.
The staff were simply outstanding – genuinely friendly, eager to help, and warm in a way that's rare to find. They are an absolute credit to the team, and I left feeling deeply grateful for their hospitality.
And the food! A very generous breakfast, a wonderfully generous afternoon tea, and yes – I departed with a very generous tummy.
I've stayed in hotels all over the world, and this might just be the best. It's quirky, it's elegant, and it's utterly disorienting in the most charming way. Highly recommended – just remember: when in doubt, go the other way!
