Asawin Grand Convention Hotel

The hotel is conveniently located near Don Mueang Airport. It's clean and the service is good.

Good aesthetics and service. However, I couldn't get a tax invoice because I booked through a website; I need to request it from the website itself.

The hotel was clean and smelled nice. However, the male staff member at check-in seemed a bit annoyed, possibly because there were a lot of guests at that time. He even yelled at another staff member over the heads of the customers. On the other hand, the female staff member provided excellent service and was very friendly and cheerful.

Stayed for six nights, so I'd say I had a pretty authoritative experience! It's a bit far from the city center, about half an hour away, but since we were heading to the IMPACT exhibition center, it was actually quite close – around 8 kilometers, taking about half an hour in the morning. Transportation was decent. In terms of safety, it's surrounded by Thai government agencies and businesses, so it feels very secure. The lobby is beautiful, and it made me happy to come down for breakfast every morning. This is the new building, but the accommodation is in another building, which isn't old either, actually.

The service was good; they changed my room, and the room service, front desk, and lobby staff were all very polite. However, the breakfast, for a hotel of this size, was a bit too simple. By 9 AM, the hot food section was empty and wasn't refilled, even though breakfast doesn't end until 10 AM. As for hygiene... the first room was unacceptable. There were no towels, the trash can had rubbish in it, and when I pulled back the duvet, there were two spots with hair. (Attached is a photo of a museum, with a wry smile.)

The hotel restaurant had great food and a very pleasant experience. The staff were welcoming during my stay, and the exhibition's location was convenient for getting around. The only minor drawback was a few small details that could be improved. Overall, it's worth a try, and I wish the establishment continued success in optimizing and providing an even better guest experience.

🛏️ Room: Good for the price. 🅿️ Parking: Plenty of spaces. 🧼 Cleanliness: Not bad. 🍳 Breakfast: Excellent! Very diverse and delicious. 🧑💼 Staff: ****Everyone, in every department, was lovely – from the security guards, valets, and doormen to the receptionists, fitness center staff, and pool attendants. Even the staff I just encountered in the hallways were genuinely nice, spoke well, and were always smiling. 💡 Needs improvement: The room had a bit of dust, possibly because I stayed in an older building. 🛁 Facilities: The pool is beautiful; you can swim and watch planes fly by. The fitness center has a lot of equipment, and there's a spa (for an extra charge).
