Spruce Point Inn Resort and Spa

I have stayed in many historic spas/resorts and this one left me disappointed. Staff appeared brand new, were unable to answer basic questions and had no idea how to get the answers. Basic items were non-existent like a directory of services in the room, items to go with the coffee like sugar or stirrers, lighting in the living room area to even read by. They were pushing boat rides but no one could tell us where the boat would go once we paid $30 per person??? I’m hoping it was just the start of the season and they get their act together for the sake of future guests.

We were situated in "Sunset C" cabin. It needs an overhaul!! My husband was very upset .....bathroom was tiny!! No mat in the slippery tub; my husband slipped and fell out onto the floor. ( after requesting a mat, a female assistant brought one). The entrance door frame around entrance door was NOT fitted to the door.... gap of 1/4" at least with light shining thru the space. More than 2 switches/outlets did NOT WORK in Sunset C. I believe the newer buildings are probably very nice!! But Sunset C is old and NOT ACCEPTABLE, as it is currently.

The property, room and local scenery were so wonderful. Our only complaint was the restaurant was super slow, food was meh, some items not available from the menu, also food luke warm by the time we got it. Breakfast was over an hour due to waiting. ( May be due to first big weekend open). Would love to stay again.

Lovely location and the staff is extremely helpful and welcoming. Please check for Batteries in tv remotes (it would be helpful). Definitely going to be a return trip

Great resort with amazing views. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Our room was old and disgusting. Supposed to have a garden view which was the back of buildings. Carpet was ripped, old with big stains. Room had not been updated in probably 40 years. Bathroom smelled liked a smoker smoked in it. We could not wait to leave and were grateful we had planned only 1 night. Booked a king room and none were available when we arrived so we had a double. Again would not have stayed there if no king rooms were available. The overall property was beautiful but needed maintenance and updating. We will be requesting a refund when we stop long enough to contact hotels com.

Clean room. Great staff. They were committed to helping to create a great first time experience.

Wonderful view from our balcony. Friendly and accommodating staff. Nice variety of activities available. Nice size room with king bed and separate sitting area.

Room was large and clean. Last updated quite some time ago. Bathroom enormous but no shelf in shower and shower plumbing from 1975. Not interested in spa. Every one was nice but no way to get ice. Old packets with powdered cream and saccharine…yuck! No smart TV. Path to parking lot poorly lit and moldy. Felt kinda sad. Like a highway motel but extra large. Area at spruce point and Boothbay beautiful. Rate as meh but rained or was cloudy the 2 days we were there.
