Misleading name and disappointing 5-star experience
While the reception staff are helpful and doing their best, this hotel falls short of its 5-star rating. My experience here was a mixed bag, and I honestly regret the booking for several reasons:
The Room & AC: The layout is poor. The air conditioning blows directly onto the bed, which made me ill. If you turn it off, the room feels like a sauna; if you open the balcony, you’re at the mercy of mosquitoes.
Misleading Branding: The "Beachfront" name is highly misleading. The beach is unusable, dirty, and not for swimming. You’ll be restricted to the pool.
Location & Hygiene: The location is isolated; we had to take a taxi daily for food and decent beaches. Worse, there were cockroaches in our 2nd-floor room and a persistent smell of sewage/drainage outside the property.
Dining: Breakfast is repetitive, with 90% of the menu remaining the same every day.
Compared to a 2-star hotel I stayed at in Karon Beach, which had better AC and service, this was a letdown. If I could have refunded my stay on day one, I would have moved to the West Coast immediately. Only stay here if you don't mind being taxi-dependent and prefer a pool over the sea/ocean.
