The Harbor Inn

My husband and I stayed at the Harbor Inn Sunday through Wednesday. Our experience could not have been better! The Inn is decorated perfectly. Very New England style. It was recently renovated a couple years ago and there are modern touches throughout along with old world style! The breakfast was great and the hospitality was wonderful! Five stars all around.

We were thoroughly pleased and satisfied with the Harbor Inn. The most important point to remember is that the Innkeeper, Mike Barrett, is totally involved and constantly and continually insuring that your stay is as comfortable and enjoyable as one would expect. The location of the inn is excellent - totally available on foot to the village. Mike insures that the atmosphere is comfortable and akin to "home". The value is outstanding, and it is very evident when one compares the rates with other inn in Kennebunkport. The inn has been totally restored with special emphasis on the bathrooms. As for noise, there are posted quiet hours. If one is going to Kennebunkport with the expectation that it will be a special "time and visit", Mike Barrett will insure that the Harbor Inn will support your expectations and make your visit unforgettable.

We just returned from an anniversary trip to the Harbor Inn, and it was exceptional. We stayed in the Beachwood room, which was beautiful and very comfortable. The Inn itself is in an ideal location for getting around town, but it’s the service that really stands out. The breakfast was fantastic every morning, and the overall service was excellent. Mike, the innkeeper, is a wonderful host who goes above and beyond to make sure guests have a great experience. We loved our stay here and will definitely be back

This is a beautiful property with a huge farmer's porch. It's centrally located about a half mile walk in either direction)between Dock Square and shops and restaurants on the ocean side. The main floor is open with lots of seating making it a great place to socialize with other guests if you so choose. Off street parking for each room as well. Mike, whose family owns the property, is incredible. He's always available and welcoming. He makes a great breakfast on the weekends. It was my first stay at the property but we're planning a return next year.

We spent a wonderful day and night in Kennebunkport on a whim during an anniversary trip. We’re so happy we chose the Harbor Inn! We were greeted by Mike. He was friendly, helpful (even helping us with our luggage), gave us some good tips on what to see and where to dine. We had a wonderful time sitting in rocking chairs on the big front porch, enjoying his Mom’s delicious homemade cookies and a drink. The room was charming, clean, thoughtfully decorated and had everything we needed. Bikes were available to ride. The location is walkable to the beach and to the town. The European style breakfast was delicious! Cold meat selection, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, homemade sweet breads and granola, pastries, fresh coffee, juices, and fruit. Mike was available for questions and always making sure our stay was going well. We would definitely stay here again!

This is a terrific family-run B&B. It delivered on each of the “Bs”. “Bed”: The rooms were comfortable and quiet. Plenty of room and laid out with a mix of suites, adjoining, and private rooms. “Breakfast”: A worthy spread every morning. With home baked treats. There were also home baked goodies out all day. The host, Mike, was eager to please, but not “too eager” if you know what I mean. Great welcome and orientation. He offered worthy suggestions for dining and activities. Very friendly and courteous. He learned and used every guest’s name. Helpful with luggage as well. 8 bicycles for guest use and the convenient location made travel to the beach and into the village easy and enjoyable. Overall a great property that we will revisit soon.

Very fair price with comfy room and absolutely lovely staff. Conviently located within walking distance to all the shops, restaurants and bars. We enjoyed our one night stay!

This was a fantastic place to stay. Innkeeper Mike was a pleasure to talk too. Delightful light breakfast and dietary awareness. A little walk to both downtown shops and the beach. A very delightful stay. We will be going back.
