This was our room, costing almost 2000 per night after tax, and honestly, it felt pretty similar to a Hanting or Home Inn back in China.
1. We booked a lagoon-view room, but it was in quite a remote spot. It took about 7-8 minutes to walk to the lobby. The hallway outside our room was full of noisy air conditioning units. You can see them in the photos and videos – even with the door closed, the noise inside was very loud.
2. We booked a king-size bed, but it turned out to be two single beds pushed together.
3. Maybe we just don't know how to operate the TV, but for this price, the TV provided was completely inadequate.
4. When we booked, we saw it had a balcony. But when we got there, the balcony was tiny, maybe only 3 square meters. We were traveling as a family, and after hanging clothes, there was no space to sit at all.
5. Due to these issues, we requested a room change. Traveling with a child, it was really inconvenient. After speaking with the front desk, they offered to downgrade us to a different room, but wouldn't refund the price difference.
6. Funnily enough, the downgraded room was actually better located and felt superior to the more expensive room we originally booked, which is why we agreed to the switch.
7. After staying for 4 days, apart from being close to Karon Beach and having large grounds, this hotel offered absolutely no value for money.
