Hampton Inn South Kingstown-Newport Area

I absolutely love this hotel! We found it last year and don’t plan on staying anywhere else when we visit Rhode Island. The room size is perfect for me and my husband, and everything is always very clean. The complimentary breakfast offers a great variety of options. The hotel is set back from the main road, so it’s nice and quiet with no traffic noise. It’s also conveniently located near plenty of stores and restaurants, and just a short drive from beaches and parks.

Parking was convenient. Staff were helpful and friendly. They remembered us each time we went by the desk and asked how our hotel stay and travel plans were going. Breakfast was good.

Staff was very welcoming which was nice as we arrived close to 11 pm. Quiet and clean room.

The hotel was pretty good, staff was friendly, room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was good, however the sink drained very slowly. Also, one of the elevators was out of order while we were there and the remaining elevator was very slow. The pool was closed one of the two days we were there so we were not able to use it. It also looked like the fire pit wasn't working that first day. We saw people outside and around it on our second day though. We were happy the room had a fridge. The location was interesting. It was inside what appeared to be a shopping center, however after looking at the other businesses inside, most were just professional businesses. There were a few food places in there, a movie theater, and a brewery, but no real shopping stores there. You have to travel a bit to get anywhere else. We picked this hotel because it was most central to the things we wanted to do while in the area.

Staff very unfriendly. Helpful but unfriendly. More importantly: zero soundproofing between rooms. Could hear both the music and conversation word for word of the room next door until midnight when I finally got hotel staff.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely stay here again!

I was able to check in early which was wonderful. I had a very nice relaxing stay. All staff was very friendly.

The room I booked wasn’t available. For my first night I was putting a room for a disabled person and the ac and blinds didn’t work. After complaining, manager Levi accommodated us for the second night into a different room and was very hospitable. I believe this hotel needs to train their employees who are at the front desk to be hospitable and welcoming to the guests because I didn’t experience this until the manager was called and he remedied the situation.
