Hotel 1620 Plymouth Harbor

Located a block off the waterfront and within easy walking distance of all the main attractions. Excellent, friendly service, spacious lobby and well appointed, freshly updated rooms. No breakfast except on weekends (self serve).

The location could not be better. You're across the street form the wharf and some of the best food in town. Walking distance to all major attractions except the pilgrim settlement which is a 6 minute drive. The indoor pool was perfect for the kids, hot tub great for the adults. The staff was super friendly, the hotel was clean and seemed to have some recent upgrades. I have zero complaints about our stay. We will definitely be back!

We have stayed here many times after getting married here in 2020. The splash pad and pool is perfect for our 2 young children. This last stay was probably our least favorite stay. The hotel is under major renovations which we didn't know about until we arrived. During our stay there was a dryer lint fire that filled the hotel with heavy smoke. my family and I were napping on the 4th floor where the smoke detectors failed to sound. We only got out of the building cause I awoke to the smell of smoke. Checked the hallway and saw the emergency lights flashing but no alarm sounding. Called the front desk no answer then looked outside to find several fire trucks and first responders. I woke up my family and we ran down the stairs as the fire fighters were running up them. very scary to stay somewhere that had malfunctioning fire alarms especially somewhere we love to return to. If the fire had not been contained we could have had a very serious situation. Will never stay anywhere unless we are on the 1st floor after this experience.

I stayed at the 1620 for the first time 2 years ago- for a work related conference. We chose not to rebook as the 1620 really needs a refresh. My stay this week confirmed my initial impression 2 years ago. There is def. areas of the hotel that need repainting. The bedspreads in the rooms are...shabby, stained. The lamps need to be updated (so you can charge phones/MACs). The bathrooms are fine. towels fluffy and white, but smelled of mildew. Staff were very helpful and kind.

I was disappointed with no breakfast. I did not really look when I booked but the price was really high so I expected to have it and they did not. The heat rattled but I took a business card and wedged it to stop it. The room was pool side and the room smelled like chlorine which to be fair has been the case in other hotels.

The hotel is currently being renovated, it's clean, the staff was very kind, and the pool and hot tub are great!

Renovations to the hotel are underway and it is brighter in the hallways than it was two years ago. Our room was renovated although the furniture had not yet arrived. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. I suggested they add a magnifying mirror and staff said this was in the plans. Two staffers at the desk were very friendly and accommodating. The third was distracted.

The water was brown. We told them and they acted unaware , but didn’t offer to help or change anything about it.
