Fairmont Peace Hotel on the Bund

The room was elegant, refined, and very clean. The complimentary fruit was super fresh. The braised pork at the Chinese restaurant on the eighth floor was delicious – rich but not greasy at all. The pan-fried buns were also incredibly fragrant. All the staff were extremely polite and provided excellent service.

I checked in on the evening of January 16th and could see the Peace Hotel's green emerald roof from afar, which was quite dazzling and spectacular. Every staff member at the hotel was incredibly warm, meticulous, and thoughtful, speaking softly and making me feel like a spring breeze. The front desk proactively upgraded my room. Upon entering, I found the air conditioning already turned on to a comfortable temperature, slippers placed by the bed, and a welcome fruit platter prepared. It truly felt like a home away from home. The performance by the elderly jazz band was fantastic; the singer had a beautiful voice and great audience interaction. The bartender provided excellent service, flexibly adapting to individual requests. The bar had a great atmosphere, and I loved the song request segment; it got even better as the night went on. The breakfast at the Jasmine restaurant on the morning of the 17th was also excellent, with both Chinese and Western options available. I particularly recommend the smoked salmon; it was perfectly marinated and served with a mild Dijon mustard that wasn't overpowering or spicy. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

True to its name, this hotel boasts a rich history. My stay was an incredibly worthwhile experience from every perspective. The booking process was a breeze, with Trip.com providing its usual convenient, fast, and supportive deals. The hotel service was excellent. I arrived before 8 AM due to an early flight to Shanghai, even though check-in isn't until 3 PM. The front desk patiently helped arrange a room for me to check in as early as possible. What’s more, they thoughtfully escorted us to the hotel's spa to change and freshen up. At 10 AM, there was even a detailed historical and cultural tour of the hotel, which was very insightful and historically significant, reflecting our nation's development from weakness to strength. The surrounding transportation is convenient, with easy access to the subway and taxis. Located right by Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and the Bund, there are countless beautiful sights to behold. The service attitude was consistently great, making one feel very welcome, especially during this deep winter season. The interior decor and furnishings are a bit traditional, which is understandable given how quickly times change. Overall, it's still worth it, and I highly recommend everyone to experience it.

The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were great. The staff at the main entrance were very responsible, and the front desk staff in the lobby were warm, attentive, and patient. The staff by the elevators were also very dedicated and helpful. I even checked out the swimming pool, and although I didn't go in, I could tell the staff's work ethic was excellent. The breakfast on the first floor was particularly rich and varied, and the dining service was warm and attentive, with great attention to detail. Overall, the staff made a great impression with their excellent service attitude 👍👍 I will definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Visiting family in Shanghai, I decided to try out the iconic and popular Fairmont Peace Hotel. Its location is excellent, right by the Huangpu River, and the facilities are superb. The service was also incredibly thoughtful, attentive to every detail.

A very good experience overall. The service was excellent, and the breakfast was fantastic, really tasty. My child loved it, and we'll definitely bring them back again.
