Spark by Hilton Guilford

The hotel and room were super clean!! The beds were very comfortable. The room was a good size.  The staff was very nice and helpful.

Breakfast options were varied and parking was easy and plentiful. Door to the outside at the end of the hall (1st floor) was loud though.

The staff was exceptional and very helpful. Left something in the room and the staff member without hesitation went to the room and found what I left and had it at the front desk. The room was clean and ample parking.

The HVAC unit was loud and annoying, I kept it off most of the time and wore extra clothes to bed so I can get to sleep. The door did not lock properly. And I ordered an accessible room and the room was not accessible, I could not turn around in my chair, my wheelchair just didn’t fit quite right. The only thing about the room that was accessible was the bathroom.

Overall function, well maintained and very clean basic no-frills hotel. One negative: Their EV chargers were both defective when I visited.

The room was great and staff was friendly. My issue was at checkout. I stayed for a week for work but need to extended for an additional week. My daughter and her car was in the room with me. I paid an additional fee for her car. When I extended my stay, no I did no check out and book a different room, I extended my stay in the same room, they charged me an additional pet fee and another “incidentals” fee. As if I checked out and requested a different room but I didn’t.

I was pleasantly surprised with every aspect of my stay Sparks by Hilton, especially the price. My only complaints, which isn’t much in the grand scheme of things, is they don’t provide cups (plastic or otherwise) in the room and for a newly refurbished property, the toilet was small, low to the ground and seemed older. I will definitely be staying there again. The location is ideal for the area.

The staff were very nice. The rooms were very comfortable and very clean. The beds were very comfortable.
