The Stay Classic Hotel Myeongdong

The hotel is in a great location, which is why I chose to stay here for the second time. The rooms are acceptable. I have stayed in countless hotels, but I have never come across a hotel without a luggage storage room. If you have a late departure, they charge 10,000 won per bag for just four hours of storage. On my first stay, we checked out early, so I hadn’t noticed this. Would I stay at this hotel again? I don’t think so. For a similar price, I would prefer other hotels in the same area. Finally, I would like to mention that the gentleman at the reception who assisted us with our check-out was very kind and allowed us to check out one hour later. I sincerely thank him for his kindness.

We stayed here as a group of three, and honestly, it exceeded expectations. The location is excellent – just a 10-minute walk to the main Myeongdong shopping area. There’s also a famous beef stew restaurant right near the hotel (so convenient after a long day out). From our balcony, we could see the entrance to Namdaemun – a nice unexpected touch. The room itself came with a washing machine and a dry iron machine, which made packing light so easy. Water was provided, and there’s a self-service laundry and gym on another floor. The reception was super helpful and check-in was very quick. Yes, the hotel looks basic from the outside, but everything inside made it totally worth it. For three people sharing, having those in-room amenities was a game changer. Highly recommend for budget-conscious travellers who want space, convenience, and a great location.

Great location. Just to keep in mind post check out if you want to keep your luggage you have to make hourly payments for that. Rooms are cozy but have enough amenities within it.

The amenities is okay and the location is quite convenient. I chose to return to this hotel mainly because the room comes with a washing machine. However, the bed is very uncomfortable, you can even feel the springs bending when you sit on it, which left my whole body aching. Another downside is that the hotel doesn’t provide free luggage storage, which was quite inconvenient.

Overall the hotel is easy to find, opposite the namdaemun market, accessible to myeongdong just beside. Airport limousine is near the hotel which is very convenient. The balcony is nice, the floor can be heated as well. The door separating bed from living room helps in regulating the temperature when sleeping, less temperature variation.
